I have recently become single after a 5 year relationship (engaged for 4). They introduced me to you, sat on their bedroom floor listening to 40 days and 40 nights for the first time and i was hooked on your music since. You quickly became 'our' thing. Our first gig together was to see you in The Lexington in London in 2018 (you and The Casual Smokers were incredible!) We was lucky enough to get a photo with you afterwards and you signed our Ben Caplan tshirts! (which i still wear proudly to this day) Not a day went by when me and my fiance didnt listen to or randomly sing your songs. We had planned to have matching tattoos of the Lexington logo as a way of marking our first time seeing you live, and had planned to have Seed of Love play at our wedding. Unfortunately were no longer together and the lyrics to this song cut deep, ive struggled to listen to you since me and fiance split because it hurt to be reminded of what ive lost, but im starting to become stronger, and I hope i can fully embrace your music again. I just want to say thank you for your incredible music, it played a huge part in my relationship and has helped me aswel as countless others get through the tough times! I hope you continue your success and create much more for years to come!
When I wrote you that letter, you'd already made up your mind All my words were written in vain And when I called you up that day I was only calling up to say hello But goodbye Was the word that you'd been thinking 'bout for days I didn't know that you were going to leave me I wish I knew the way to make you come home What can I do if this is right for you I have not been perfect for you Although I think I was back at the start You have no more patience for me So now I guess we'll both just drift apart All those times I wasn't there The times you thought I didn't care I hope you can believe I thought of you 'Cause you were everything I needed I've been selfish and so self-absorbed I thought that you'd be waiting when I reached the other side Last night I put my arms around another woman's waist The touch was sweet but bitter while we danced And great love can bring greater pain I hope I fall in love again What can I do if this is right for you I have not been perfect for you I like to think I was back at the start You have no more patience for me So now I guess we'll both just drift apart I want the best for you and now I realize that it isn't me I haven't been the man you need, I wish I'd been able to be I'm sorry that I did not give you everything that you desired And that I made you feel upset when you just made me feel inspired I have not been perfect for you I wish we could go back and just restart But you have no more patience for me So now I guess we'll both just drift apart Drift apart

Been a long time since a song made me cry like this gawd damn
❤ just found you
Beautiful song... really makes me feel and remember
When I wrote you that letter, you'd already made up your mind
All my words were written in vain
And when I called you up that day
I was only calling up to say hello
But goodbye
Was the word that you'd been thinking 'bout for days
I didn't know that you were going to leave me
I wish I knew the way to make you come home
What can I do if this is right for you
I have not been perfect for you
Although I think I was back at the start
You have no more patience for me
So now I guess we'll both just drift apart
All those times I wasn't there
The times you thought I didn't care
I hope you can believe I thought of you
'Cause you were everything I needed
I've been selfish and so self-absorbed
I thought that you'd be waiting when I reached the other side
Last night I put my arms around another woman's waist
The touch was sweet but bitter while we danced
And great love can bring greater pain
I hope I fall in love again
What can I do if this is right for you
I have not been perfect for you
I like to think I was back at the start
You have no more patience for me
So now I guess we'll both just drift apart
I want the best for you and now I realize that it isn't me
I haven't been the man you need, I wish I'd been able to be
I'm sorry that I did not give you everything that you desired
And that I made you feel upset when you just made me feel inspired
I have not been perfect for you
I wish we could go back and just restart
But you have no more patience for me
So now I guess we'll both just drift apart
Drift apart
I think my heart just melted
It really sounds beautiful
Dude...You are amazing. I just found your music today; and I'm soaking as much of it in as I can.
great music
Thanks, Ben

I give you a life challenge then sir, make him famous, preach his songs to the world, and...buy an album
He’s a star to me.
I think every Jewish person who listens to this, instantly recognizes the
synagogue psalms in his voice and singing.
