    One of the best covers of those two pieces I've seen yet.
    Very tight. Right in the pocket. Can set my watch to it.

    Outstanding, playing, tone, angle, lighting - outstanding video! Great job! What's next? Distant Early Warning? Twilight Zone? Red Sector A?

      @@watchmakerfs Yes, I remember it now. Distant Early Warning or even Vital Signs would be easy for ya! Love me some GUP!

    Nicely done, bro! Love your tone too. Alex Lifeson would be damn proud. Keep up the GREAT covers, man! You're one of, if not THE best Rush guitar cover guy on TH-cam. I would love to see you do the title track from A Farewell To Kings next!

    Amazing playing, i'm so confused about how much Gain is needed for Alex's tone. Sounds like there's not that much distortion on the guitars in this video but when i try to back off the distortion myself, it just sounds weak.

    • @watchmakerfs
      @watchmakerfs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Crank the master of the amp (if you can) and dial the gain a little bit above the edge of break up. Then use a tube screamer to push the amp (more output than distortion).

      Alex’s studio tone uses more gain than this video’s guitars but it doesn’t have to be excessive

      Try using more transparent overdrives or amp overdrive

    Excellent! Watched the whole thing. How are you getting your Alex tone with a single coil Strat?

    • @watchmakerfs
      @watchmakerfs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I'm using Amplitube 5 for all my covers. This one is a stereo rig with a mix of Marshall and Friedman clones being pushed by tubescreamer as a boost. Also, with single coil you have to raise the mids on those amps.

    Howdy from Michigan 🇺🇸 this and your other vids are kicking butt. What guitar are using ? Im really interested in the neck mainly , i have a strat body and im gigging that dark neck on your axe. Any info would be appreciated. And a slow detailed lesson on your vids would be Awsome, for us old guys 😂 . I love this vid thanks for sharing your talents. Did you learn from guitar pro or tab book ect.

    • @watchmakerfs
      @watchmakerfs  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! My guitar is just a cheap strat replica from a brazilian brand called Condor with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. All the songs from my videos I learn by ear and I never use tabs.

    Do you think you could ever share the patch you used for this?

    • @watchmakerfs
      @watchmakerfs  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have that patch anymore. Every cover I do I always start from scratch. But If I remember correctly It was a plexi stereo rig using a tube screamer as a treble boost.
