I did not play MTG. Found you. Started playing MTG. Kept watching you. Got bored and married Gwent, HS, Slay the Spire, Griftlands and other Deck builder games. Now I haven´t touched MTG in years. Yet I still watch your videos from time to time. You were the reason I started playing, and the only reason I might come back to it one day. Keep up the incredible work.
I also like CGB, Jim Davis. But playstyle wise, LVD is definitely closer to my heart 😅 and videos are actually very informative, I can always see a deck, understand why is every card in there and how it works, for instance Sonio builds very interesting decks but sometimes it is hard to understand why so and so cards were even in there. :) LVD giving a thorough explanation is amazing. Draft decks and building are by far the best, it is not even close and I feel that LVD pre-launch card reveal and evaluation is also very good, since he analyzes the card playability in multiple formats. Allows you to go in those launch Sealed and Draft formats with quite a bit of knowledge and build something really cool and have a lot of fun.

the cards under 4 mana in this deck are super legit and synergistic! I feel like you can replace the top end with a different combination of rares and mythic rares, even replacing Elesh Norn, and you'd still have a pretty fun deck.

I've got a variant of this that I love and had a decent amount of success with that focuses on bouncing my opponents stuff with moonsnare ninjas and blink abilities with fading hopes and return upon the tide for some fun wins
This is such a great midrange deck! I love how you can bait out Sunfall with just a few cheap creatures and then follow up with Mother of Machines. Since you are playing Static Net, I personally would choose not to play ossification at all and instead go with something like Destroy Evil. Yes, I see the double exile synergy with MoM on the battlefield, but it's still playing a bit too much into enchantment removal.
I use guardian of Ghirapur. When it comes into play, you can flicker a creature (returns at need of turn). With Eleanor Norn, you could draw 4 cards with it

I like the idea, but I'm a bit traumatised about Norn. I had a deck with three copies and every time I got breached they hit her... too bad that's the absolute worse against us, sice 2 Norns don't cancel.
Don't think that's necessarily true. Monoblack is all about efficient removal and powerful threats like Sheoldred. This deck has mostly creatures that replace themselves, making spot removal look bad. There's also no shortage of answers to Sheoldred. The top end threats like Eternal Wanderer and Portal also help a lot in that matchup. Monoblack is only the fourth most popular deck behind Monowhite, GW Enchantments and Monored according to Untapped.
I will definitely give this deck a shot then. Honestly, standard has been a bit boring lately so maybe this will get me back into it. Thanks as always for the great videos.
Kind of weird to see this built without any blink effects. Like a Golden Argosy or that one 3mana removal/2mana channeled blink, though that may be a bit too greedy.
Field is a bit of a nonbo with Lay Down Arms. Can't afford to stumble against aggro and there aren't many lands worth destroying. Restoration is a great card, but I find myself needing the board presence sooner. Serra Paragon is a better fit for the deck and I would definitely want some in the 75 for those grindy matchups.

Farewell can indeed be a problem, but can’t beat the efficiency of Ossification.
