    Thanks for sharing this video. Will be going in May and this was exactly what I was looking for to get an idea of the island. I loved the music you used and thought it was very peaceful and tranquil. Can't wait to have my own experience on these beaches you showed!

    Awesome! Love the illegal drone video from inside a national state park! Great to see you posting it online for the FAA to enjoy!

    • @unropednope4644
      @unropednope4644 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as the drone is in line of sight of the pilot the FAA wont take issue. The National Parks Service probably wont touch it either since you cant really tell where the pilot launched from. The video creator could just say they launched from the ocean outside park boundaries and the NPS has no jurisdiction in the air. Just my 2 cents.

    Nice video- brings back many, mostly great memories. Can't wait to visit again soon!
    I dabble in photography too. Great shot at 26:50. It looks like you did a combination of drone and regular photography. You used some nice interesting angles like that low angle boardwalk shot- very nice. There is great light on STJ 90% of the time. Some minor blur, especially in low light (restaurants) can be reduced by speeding up your shutter speed. For walking and car video, look into the Sony FDR action cams. I picked one up and it's amazing and very reasonably priced- very unique stabilization system which is mechanical vs electronic. The result is much smoother video- no blur or shakiness. I can send you links if you want to see some of my video using it.

      Yay thanks! This was actually shot by an iPhone 11 Pro except for the drone part and that one shot you were talking about was just in ultra wide mode. I’m actually doing all of my videos right now with different iPhones and hoping to be better on stabilizing it. Maybe later on I’ll get into professional cameras too.

      @MOAB-UT 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winerosetravel5882 Oh- that's too bad. Such nice scenery to only use a cell phone. The Sony's cost much less than that phone and the video is night and day better. No need to stabilize it in post- it is near perfect 1440.

    • @winerosetravel5882
      @winerosetravel5882  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see, ok great send me the link of your sample footage and also is there a different models for the Sony FDR? Thanks

    • @MOAB-UT
      @MOAB-UT 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winerosetravel5882 Sure- what is your email- or add it to your "About" and I'll send it to you. It will make a big improvement in the overall quality of your already nice footage. The small sensor on a cell phone just can't compete to a dedicated Sony.
      I just checked and mine is the Sony HDR-AS300. I also got the optional wrist camera. It allows you to control it from a watch like (wrist mounted) display controller. You can get the camera for ~$298.00.
      There are a ton of videos on YTube and the Sony website. I have used it skiing and riding motorcycles in the mountains- everyone comments how steady the video is- I did nothing to correct it. Sony also sells a 4k version but it might not be worth the hassle and extra cost (especially if mainly posting online) unless you have 4k displays. It is also a lot harder to work with (huge files.) Mine records up to 1920x1080 @ 60p which is perfect and looks very high quality.
      Most PC monitors and even websites don't go much higher than true 1080p anyway. Great quality at 1080p is better than poor quality even at 4k. There is more to it than just resolution.
      Bottom line- it will take you to a new level off video over your cell phone- for sure.

    The music is too intense for such a grandiose and peaceful panorama as is the ocean with the different shades of blue and the almost white sand and the lush green vegetation.

      Cool thanks! and I’m sure you’ll love it there. I actually didn’t get any sort of permit or whatsover, I just flew the drone within my line of sight and since there was no runway there I was thinking it’s fine to fly.

    I loved the video, but my god the music choice is so depressing. It sounded like Schindler's list. Bad music will ruin a beautiful like this. Uplifting music will draw more views. Just my honest opinion.

    We prefer Turks or Aruba over St John.. sure it has nice beaches but it’s a pain in the a** getting there... it’s white ppl overload and I’m a white dude!!! who wants to hear country music when in the Caribbean? The roads are like constant roller coasters & your ears pop 24/7 if you’re on the mountain..Lots of racial segregation too... not our cup of tea... Food is way better in St thomas btw

    • @mikemiller3755
      @mikemiller3755 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been going to both for some time now and often go to Mexico being from Arizona and it is pretty clear which island has the better food and it isn't St. Thomas. Unless something has changed after Covid, the food venue on island at St. John, the food was always been 2 steps in front of St. Thomas it is night and day difference between the two. Country music I totally agree, never could figure that out either, LOL! The racial segregation is an issue, it's a bit think in the Caribbean for whatever reason, for worse than Mexico. Try Banana Deck next time they have really good food and a large variety! Thanks for sharing and happy trails!

      Who wants to hear rap music when on vacation? What a waste of time rap music. Yes, you would be better off in Jamica, for sure no country music.
