I replaced mine with one from direct hoses and it burst/split after 10 months. I contacted direct hoses and apparently they are only guaranteed for 3 months. I’ve put my old karcher one back on.

I've got the exactly the same hose for my bosch aquatak pressure washer and the new hose is a total game changer wayyyyyyyy better than the crappy ones that come with most budget pressure washer i love mine
Same as mine Gary it's direct hoses flexiwash and tbh it's been great so much less hassle and no more bloody kinks. Definitely going to get a couple of wheel guides when they decide to price them sensibly. Good vid my friend 👍
I wonder if Karcher will ever decide to do something with their hose design . I guess they are keeping the cost down and many people can get over it because they use it so rarely but anyone who has to work with it frequently wants to poke his eyes out because of the kinks ...
Fantastic video, clear & precise, exactly what I’m looking for, I’ve the Karcher K5 pressure washer & the hose is a serious pain in the ass & really makes my Pis# boil everytime I use it & it simply coils up on itself, it’s even scratched the bonnet & wing arches throughout its coiling process, so this hose looks the perfect solution for me, may I ask you where did you get your pressure washer gun from cause it looks really good quality? im a part time valeter / deatiler on weekend im useing bosch 125 the hose and gun with it ...its not very nice to work with so i got in touch with direct hoes they hooked me up with 15m hose and stubby gun it just make my life so much easier .... bit of a tip put some vasline on each end of hose where the seals are its so much easyier to connect up the gun and to the machine 👍

I have been desperately looking for the karcher k4 adaptor as i like the uberflex pipe. Please can you help with where i can get the adaptor. I checked on hoses direct but i couldn't find which one i need. Thanks

i got it, used it about 8 times and it sprung a leak at one end, paid return postage and got it fixed , got it back and used it twice and it burst in the middle, in the bin now. not great . on to some other brand.

The reason I ask is because I have the K4 premium power control car washer, this has a reel on the back of the K4 to wind up the pressure hose but the hole that goes through the reel it’s very snug and doesn’t have any kind of sheath on The genuine Karcher hose. I’m waiting on direct hose to tell me the measurements but customer service is a bit slow.

You do have to wonder why Karcher provides such a miserable high-pressure hose with its K4 line of pressure washers. Or at least doesn't offer the options of a) buying the washer without a hose or b) offering an upgrade. I understand how cost-accounting works. Including a decent high-pressure hose would probably add a few Euros to the Bill-of-Material cost of making the machine. But probably every person who's ever used a K4-series machine has ended up cursing the miserable, cheap, kink-prone, hose that comes standard. It's a truism that "you get what you pay for." If you buy an S-Class Mercedes, you're going to get better performance and features than if you buy a VW Golf. But I don't think most people who buy a new VW Golf immediately feel the need to throw away the wheels and tyres that came with it and buy better ones. Wheels and tyres that are actually fit for purpose. Karcher has a very good position in the domestic pressure-washer marketplace. It's probably the "go to" brand most consumers think of when buying a pressure washer. Do they need to hit some magical "price point"? Maybe, but I doubt it. Please, if anyone from Karcher ever ends up reading this - think about giving your customers (existing and potential future ones) at least the option of buying one of your machines without the useless hose that it currently ships with. (I think I just ended a sentence with a preposition. My bad.)
I don’t see how price is an issue. Karcher supply a very cheap hose. Max pressure 160bar. The reason it has a max of 160bar and coils like that is due to cheap construction with cheap materials. Yet they charge over £50 for a replacement. So if a company can supply a longer hose, steel wire braiding and rubber outer that can take over 200bar of pressure and lay flat on the ground for £25 then there really is no defending karcher on “price point”. This simply comes down to greed. Like your Mercedes analogy, people are buying into a name because they have been sold on their marketing. That company knows it so have decided to take the p!ss. Let’s face it, if you buy a Mercedes diesel your buying a Renault engined car with suspension joints that don’t last long enough to get through its first mot. Rather than using a quality part, they decide to put a plastic cover on it so the mot inspector can’t fail it. You can’t fail what you can’t see! To be honest, seems to be a recurring theme coming out of Germany, brand yourself as “German engineering” people believe it and buy into it. Huge profits made.

The hose is a nightmare it does my head in aswell spend more time unkinking the hose than cleaning the bloody car I'm getting one asap 👌😎

You shouldn’t really use a extension cable Realed up like that your at risk off blowing a fuse the power will blow back
Been using the same lead in the same way for six years with no issues 🤷♀️
It depends on the power output of what you plug in, k4 doesn't require enough power to cause the cable to overheat wound up
