    I would add 3 more legs. Anyone getting up off the floor will use the table to push themselves up, and at that height people will be tempted to sit on it. The sides between legs have a ton of leverage and will flip the table up and dump everything on it.

    I liked you standing inside the triangle drilling and sanding.

    Love that he is using a Festool jigsaw and Hart drill in the same video. Shows you can do great work with both.

    I like the three-legged design, but the size of the table is also very good for a regular height table. Would you alter/solidify the leg part if you want to make it a taller/regular height table? And how?

    I've been using threaded inserts like these for many years but never have I used any kind of glue with them. I never have had any kind of a problem or call back... It's a good idea though.

    Nice, I just wonder why you kept screwing in and out the screw through the base into the leg?

    • @josephhfry
      @josephhfry ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is screwing into end grain. The threads tend to compress the fibers rather than cut into them, which makes it easy to strip the screw when tightening.
      Screwing in and out like that before finally tightening it down gives the thread more chances to actually cut some fibers and embed themselves into the wood.

      Wow, interesting, thank you for explanation!@@josephhfry

    I missed what those threaded inserts were for

    • @DavZell
      @DavZell ปีที่แล้ว

      The large flat-topped "furniture bolts" that attach the base to the top screw into them. This is, I think, stronger and easier to take apart, if necessary, than just screwing into the wood directly.
