    I have been using the Amazfit Balance for a few weeks and I love it! More videos about this watch are coming!

      Been waiting for your review
      I bought the GTR4 and I love it but I wanna see what did I miss 😂

      The GTR 4 is still a great buy. The Balance does add a few features but probably nothing you cant live without. The screen is bigger, you can measure body composition with it like a Samsung watch. Upgraded sensors and NFC with Zepp pay- but this is only available in a few countries. I want to use it for a few a little longer before I make my Full review video.

      GTR4, t rex 2 or cheetah in terms of value for money? 😅 Or balance if you can include it?

      @simdencard 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sidneyrestauro Balance is the best watch to go for, in my opinion.
      You'll get the updated more accurate heart rate sensor, the new readiness feature, body composition measurements and AI training coach with multi band GPS.
      The others have less features.

      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That might take some time, but quick answer. They are all between $199 and $229. I would pick the Balance. It has a couple of extra features that the other's don't for about the same price. Plus it has the biggest screen, 1.5 inches. Can't beat it for the price!
      Thanks for watching!

      The other issue is the kids noticing the new watch and pointing it out while at dinner table...😬

    I currently own the GTR 4 and was thinking about upgrading. Do you think the Balance is a Worthy upgrade or should I just stick with the GTR 4?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm, I always want to upgrade but the GTR 4 is great. The balance gives you a lot more features, just a few are the body composition analysis, temp sensor, a bigger and brighter screen. So it's better, but unless the Balance has a specific feature you must have and you are happy with GTR4, I wouldn't upgrade. (I can't believe I'm saying that)

    Great channel, thanks for the videos. Anyone have opinion and suggestion between the Cheetah and the Balance? Which one would you pick?!

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a few videos on the Cheetah that might help. I also have a full review of the Amazfit Balance coming out soon. Check the Playlist below. th-cam.com/play/PLB4yGRv5f305Qef95NhY3-KWhqI3Cgm3T.html
      But if can't wait... the Cheetah round and Balance are the same price. They have a very similar feature set, but the Balance adds a few things, like the BAI, readiness score, and thermometer. The Balance also has a larger screen. I prefer the look of the Balance. If you couldn't tell, I would go with the Balance.
      Amazfit also makes the Cheetah Pro, which is more expensive but does have a larger screen and is made with gorilla glass vs tempered glass. Hope that helps! More Amazfit videos coming...

    Great review:) just small q: dors it defect when you go to sleep in terms of some sleep mode set or some power saver sor sonething? Like ticwatch pro 5 e.g.?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can have sleep mode smart enabled- so the watch decides when your sleeping, works well. Or you could schedule it. But it is not really a battery saving mode because if you want a readiness score you will need to have HR on for every 1 or 5 minutes and then breathing quality measurement on. There is also a power saving mode that lasts about 45 days but disables almost all the features.

    • @houmer69
      @houmer69 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@techgadgets100 what's enabled in this power saver mode? Is it like on ticwatch 5? Some health tracking, steps and so on?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@houmer69 per Amazfit, Typical Usage Battery Life: Up to 14 days
      Battery Saver Mode: Up to 25 days. I have not tested this mode but it says that it will increase battery life by dimming the display and "moderating" performance. I believe that powersaving mode on ticwatch disables most of the functions.

    • @houmer69
      @houmer69 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@techgadgets100 Essential mode on the ticwatch pro 5 of course disables notifications and basically gps, and all the workout and WearOS stuff, it keeps things like sleep tracking, calories, heartbeat measurement, steps, compass.... because only the second low power display is in use.
      I've compared TW pro 5 to OnePlus watch 2, and except that TW pro 5 has approx 45 days of battery life in Essential mode, OnePlus watch 2 in powersaver mode behaves like smartband, with all the features enabled ( except the WearOS stuff like wallet, or maps, or YT music etc. )... that's why I was wondering about Amazfit Balance's battery saver mode, what's on when enabling it :) if the workouts, gps, health tracking is still on or not, or if it's still connected to mobile app via bluetooth or something :)

    Is the Cheetha Pro à step down from the Balance ? Software , hardware and function wise ? Because the Cheetha pro has a better metal bezel that is higher then the screen.

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I dont think it is a step down but there are a few differences. Most of the features and software are the same, but the Balance adds a few features. The Cheetah Pro is more durable with the Gorilla glass screen and the raised bezel. The Pro is more expensive.

  • @NeoVdV
    @NeoVdV 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Unfortunately ... no bezel to protect the screen or better scratch resistant, a step back to BT 5.o and not the new BT 5.3,

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are worried about the screen go for the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, is has the Gorilla glass 3. Really not sure why Amazfit reduced the BT to 5.0 on the newer Balance- but I did not notice any significant issues.

      @@techgadgets100 A d what about software updated, firmware updates ? And how long do they support updates ?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Updates are not scheduled and as far as I know Amazfit has not committed to any support time frame. I think though that updates for the Amazfit watches are likely less critical than Samsung because there is no third party apps allowed in Amazfit's ecosystem. But a clearly stated software commitment would be appreciated.

    is it made out of pure aluminum alloy or just alluminum coating as any other cheap smartwatch ?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe the frame is made of aluminum, not coated plastic. Of course, i could probably be fooled... Amazfit says, "Aluminum alloy middle frame, Fiber-reinforced polymer bottom shell". I have several Amazfit watches, including some budget ones. I think Amazfit calls it like it is. They will tell you in the description if its plastic and don't try to hide it. This watch feels premium but very light.

    returned gtr 3 pro yesterday cause its screen is so blurry. my 1st gen Gtr screen was sharper and better. does balance screen is as sharp as gtr if not better? i want a new back up for my galaxy watch 4 classic. the only thing i dont like about 4 classic is battery only last 2 to 3days and the 20mm band size too narrow and feminine. should i buy the balance for 200usd?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So here are some facts that might help.
      Amazfit balance: 1.5 in AMOLED display, resolution 480 x 480, brightness 1500 nits. 22mm manly strap...
      Samsung watch 4 classic: 1.4 in AMOLED screen, resolution 450 x 450, brightness 1000 nits.
      Samsung watch 6 classic: 1.5 in AMOLED screen, resolution 480 x 480, brightness 2000 nits.
      I love Amazfit Balance and definitely recommend it. But it does run, it's own software and there are pros and cons to that. My only other caution is get a screen protector, the display is only covered in tempered glass.

    I've just bought the Balance and I'm mostly enjoying it (it's my first smart watch), but the notifications are a bit annoying. I receive them fine and I can dismiss them on the watch, but they don't clear from the phone itself. I've definitely seen a video of this being done (can't find that video now though) and my old Fitbit could do this, so I guess I'm missing a setting or permission somewhere but I can't find it. The Fitbit used to display the same options as you'd get on the notification and they'd work as expected, e.g. an email might give the "archive" or "delete" options and that would actually affect the email as expected. The Balance only ever gives the option to delete (i.e. clear) the notification from the watch. Any thoughts on this anyone!? Thanks!

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will keep checking for you, but as far as I know, there is no other notification options on the watch- just delete. And there is no setting that would allow it to delete the message from the phone after deleted from the watch.
      Something for calendar events, you can delete them from the watch- so you dont keep getting notified about it, but it will still be on phone calendar. It has been this way forever with Amazfit products. But maybe a software update will get us more options.

      @@techgadgets100 Thanks for the reply. Knew I should've gone for the Garmin Vivoactive 5 instead! 😄 I found the original video where it shows notifications being deleted from the watch and phone, but it was for the GTR 4, although they're so similar that you'd expect the same behaviour on the Balance. It's at around 19:50 here: th-cam.com/video/pNO1t4YXmBc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6DkopJO7vqz8wndP

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Amazfit might update that function but there is no setting to turn it on or off. I actually prefer to have the notification left on the phone after deleted from the watch. I sometimes don't action on something on the first notification, when I check my phone later it acts like a another reminder. Then I sometimes remember to answer it...🤔

    If the falcon and the balance are the same price is the falcon a better choice?

    • @techgadgets100
      @techgadgets100  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In US, the Falcon retails for $499, the Balance $229. The Falcon is MUCH more durable with a sapphire display. The features are similar. The Balance is newer and uses Zepp 3.0 vs 2.0. It also adds the body composition analysis and thermometer (not sure how much you plan on using these features). The Falcon is heavier but if you like the look/ design and can get it for same price, I would go with the Falcon! Hope that helps!
