Another good one... You've really given us some good info on how to break down a lake... It's helped me maximize my time on the water.. instead of just fishing aimlessly down the bank...

I got to venture into the Boundary Waters, and submerged milfoil fields were my gold. I pulled a homemade Bass-Oreno over them, and the bat-out-of-hell hunting action combined with the big profile got the smallmouth to charge up and slam it. I caught a lot of 3-4 pounders this way, and also some by the steep drop-offs.

Thank you for breaking down a natural lake. I'm in Wisconsin and we don't have many reservoirs, but we do have thousands and thousands of natural lakes. Most other "How to find fish" videos are reservoir based, and a natural lake fishes very differently.

Great video. Thanks for info on natural lakes. Love to see you guys fish areas like MN. Don’t let everyone know about the great fishing up here! It’s nice to see how you do things on these lakes compared to what we have been doing. Another thing that will catch a monster load of LM is swim jigs and vibrating jigs. If I start with black and blue my brother will start with the green/gill color. Usually one color is a hot ticket and we switch up to that. We aren’t going to get an 11lb fish up here but can get 15 to 20, 3 to 5lb fish most days. And 3lb bass on 2lb line through the ice are fun to catch!!!

You’re absolutely right about catching a boatload of 3 to 5 pounders up north! Thanks for watching Chris and I will take your word on catching them through the ice!lol

I've been a long time fan of yours but following Project E is addicting! The fun you have, the energy you display and the content is EXACTLY what makes for a good fishing channel. It is truly fun and entertaining. Love to see how you break down a natural lake. I've been fishing them my own life but seeing how someone like you who's not used to fish them do it brings a nice perspective and helps me break mine even better. Tight lines man and best of luck out there!

My lakes I fish in Ohio are natural lakes with grass and without many points and differences in contour lines, so flats would be the best bet on this lake

I didn't see the text in the video of your main takeaway points. I really like that feature of your videos. Saw the three near the end but was curious why the takeaways were missing throughout.

I have a very good question. I live in North Dakota there is a lake called Trenton lake it’s SUPER muddy but it’s very flat not a whole lot of drop off or cover in the lake because it’s so muddy too tell but there is a few trees on the bank but like I said it’s so flat of a lake no points of interest it’s just a shallow bowl basically an again it’s very shallow where do you start when looking for crappie or say if your fishing for bass the opposite.

Edwin, another good Project E. I think one of the big lessons I have learned from your project e videos is keep moving until you find the fish. And try to find as many places as you can that hold fish. My favorite lesson if I had to chose one is your two videos on Google earth. It's really awesome finding all these different areas you had no idea were there. Could you do a project e on how to fish power plant lakes like swepco in gentry arkansas. Thanks.🎣🐟

Great Video Edwin. Thank you for expanding your series to natural lakes. In so much as you noted the clear water is clear so deep, it was great to get your take on the differences in forage in natural northern lakes Vs down south. You comments on speed were helpful. Interestingly, you did not discuss flipping grass in natural lakes as it is quite common but hopefully that becomes another video... attacking thick grass in the summer. Good luck to you. And, thanks again for taking the time to make all these videos. They are so helpful and informative and your energy for fishing is contagious. This channel will be 100k in no time!

Awesome! How would your fishing pattern change during the season on this natural lake? You mentioned areas during a spawn, but what about pre, post, summer, fall transition on these lakes with craws, bluegill, perch, maybe alawifes? Thanks in advance

Thanks for another great video Edwin! Would it be possible for you to pull up a lake on google earth pro and show us what you see on a specific lake. It would be a great way for us to practice finding the same things that you’re pointing out. Right now I’m still struggling to get to the right height and find stumps, drains, grass and structure like that. Thanks
