I dont even know where to start. I work for a company that tests and Certifies Wire and Cable, from communication cables, building wire, medium voltage wire/cables and high voltage wire/cables. I have been to countless factories in the US, Canada, China etc, and without a doubt (other than a few factories in China) this is the worst manufacturing facility I have ever seen and this is not the way to make quality cables. The level of not having any safety measures in this "factory" is nuts, for god sake sandals and moving those reels around which are in the range of 150-200lb each is crazy. No eye protection, even no gloves for the guy that's re-spooling the wire from the loose coil to a reel is totally insane, one small kink in that wire and it gets caught on something and that guy is going to loose at least a finger maybe his entire hand. The extrusion process in this factory is a joke. To me that insulation material that he dumped in the mixing drum and then was scooping up looks like 100% re-grind material which is totally unacceptable, we only allow up to max 30% and that regrind material must have traceability back to what the actual material is. The stuff they are using looks like ground up red garden hoses and Barbie dolls, the cooling trough is WAY to short and why do they have an open flame on the extrusion head? Their runoff space is ridiculous the freshly extruded wire is coiling on the floor still warm from the extruder and the WAY to short cooling trough and sitting on top of each other causing depressions and deformities in the insulation and then they just throw it over some random log they found to re-spool it on to a new reel with tension set in the spooler. And where is the production line spark/dielectric tester? Ladies and Gentlemen this is not the way to do it, and this is not any where near quality wire and cable.
I worked for ESKOM, the single power generation company in South Africa... I would never procure this kinda wire. No Quality control, no testing, no standard to which it is manufactured... Totally unacceptable to South African standards which is based on EU standards. This kind of manufacturing should not even be allowed.
I'm totally agree, there are several unsafe situations on this "manufacturingo process", even material isn't ideal to make that cable. It looks aluminum instead of copper. Aluminun it's too fragile and its conductivity is lower than copper. As Video Gamer26 said: " This is not, under any circumstances, the correct way to do it"...
@@jesuseduardo5658 Actually, aluminum is used for high voltage lines in the power grid. An aluminum wire needs 1.5 times the cross section of a copper wire for the same capacity (as you said, aluminum isn't as conductive as copper). But aluminum is half the weight of copper. So even with the larger cross section, the aluminum wire is lighter. Now making durable connections with aluminum is harder than with copper, but for professional use, it's easy enough to make proper connections. But even with that, the wire in this video is extremely questionable and wouldn't be acceptable to any legitimate power company.
Ni una bobinadora automática, pero bue yo también bobine a mano pero faltó la prueba para verificar que las aislaciones no tengan fuga, excelente trabajo igual a los colegas
I hate to break it to you, but aluminum wire is still widely used today everywhere, since the price of copper keeps rising. Aluminum wire was never discontinued! It doesn't start fires either when used correctly. Btw, great depression in the 70's? Think you're off by 50 years buddy.
