Make sure you all have snacks :)
Also, I am very new to the TH-cam scene, so please let me know what else you want to see!

Dreamcatcher does have as powerful dancing with live vocals as anyone, but they nearly always get the "for a girl group" qualifier after that even though they have repeatedly covered boy group dances to put that to rest. In Weekly Idol's 2x dance days they covered Infinite's Eye at 2x right after their own song. There is also the 2019 boy group dance cover (featuring the most Siyeon pants that ever Siyeoned).
I really wish they could be appreciated as performers regardless of gender, but I am glad that they are trying to break the mold!
@@alexatakesalook That what they have us for.
Furthermore, a lot of Dreamcatcher's title songs are at around 200 BPM (while other Kpop songs are at 130-170ish) so that adds more challenge to the choreo...and they sing live on top of those
A lot of the variety show clips in this is from their own series, 'Dreamcatcher Mind' on the official dreamcatcher youtube channel :D I believe there are 9 or 10 episodes? all very entertaining
Thanks for the recommendation
I really suggest you watch another guide video, really more of the DC backstory, it's called "Dodging Disbandment and other extreme sports a history of dreamcatcher" by Mera. It's an older video, but IMO it does a really good job at explaining their convoluted backstory, more so than the other guides. I would almost say that you don't get the full story, without watching this video. It complements the other guide videos, or technically vice versa, since it came out before a lot of the currently recommended guides, which is not to say that they are bad, you just get a view of what happened with the history of the group. The creator also has a way of narrating the story, that really gets you into their story. She also has another not exactly follow up video, where she talks about specifically the DC's music.
That is on my list! Once I am done with finals I will start reacting to the longer videos again
12:05 It's from their 'Odd Eye' era😊
Thank you :D
DREAMCATCHER 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
While it was fortuitous, for us and Dreamcatcher, that MINX was not successful, the concept itself was not bad and they sounded good. The main problem they had when they debuted was who they were up against. Just a short list of other debuting groups in 2014, Laboum, Lovelyz, Mamamoo and Red Velvet. 2015 was no easier for them, you had CLC, Gfriend and Oh My Girl debut. Red Velvet added Yeri and oh yeah, can't forget Twice debuted also. 2015 was crazy good year for kpop girl groups. As I said Gfriend debuted, Nine Muses came back with Drama, 4Minute released Crazy.
You had Lovelyz, Fiestar, Gain, Davichi, CLC, Oh My Girl, Laboum, Miss A, EXID, BoA, Kara, Mamamoo, Sistar, AOA, Girl's Day, APink, Sonamoo, Wonder Girls, T-Ara, Girls Generation, Hyuna, Twice, Taeyeon, IU, (f)x, Brown Eyed Girls either making their debut or having comebacks. It was insane. Minx only had the two songs and I think the CEO underestimated the field. Also as is stated in another video, there were just too many similar concepts for them to stand out.
Sorry for the long post, I kinda went down the rabbit hole on this one.
No no I appreciate the explanation! That makes so much sense!
