    Larrivee makes very nice instruments...I have an OM-40-R, and I love it.

    Really appreciate your honest approach to informing us regarding used guitar trades. It’s true - as the buyer, we scrutinize perceived condition which impacts your ability to find a good home for previously loved instruments.

    I can't believe how many nice instruments you guys have! I'm sure you are totally jaded ... but, back when I was a young whippersnapper and pretty much any guitar that a normal person could afford sucked, either set up or finish or bracing, etc. Even the 500 buck guitars are incredible. You put the eastman e20ss down, but it sounded so good in the mike ... not done watching yet - but so many wonderful instruments in your shop right now.

    It is such a pity that Larrivee was forced into producing yet another line of Martin-style guitars - like everybody else - to be successful in the U.S. Their real breakthrough so long ago, and the one that many great Canadian luthiers cut their teeth on and innovated with, was the L body. A fabulous guitar shape with excellent balance, great tone and incredible versatility.

    I'm somewhat surprised at what seems to be a dig at Blueridge guitars. I've known many hardcore professionals who choose Blueridge guitars not only because of their playability but also because of their quality. "Any" brand can have duds. You also see many in the bluegrass genre. I have, over the last couple of years, gained a new respect for Yamaha, but I'll keep my Blueridge BR 183 just the same.

    Redwing with a broken string ... you always tune the g string getting too fast and excited on those sharp nuts. That string did pop pretty easy really.

    what would be a good mandolin for a starter player from Guitar to get?

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend most the MD305 as our favorite starter mandolin: www.theacousticshoppe.com/shop/Instruments/Mandolins/AStyle-Mandolins.htm?dynamicFilters=%7B%22mfg_name%22:%7B%22Eastman%22:true%7D%7D&maxPrice=1000&minPrice=500 . For a little less, we also recommend The Loar mandolins: www.theacousticshoppe.com/shop/Instruments/Mandolins/The-Loar.htm
