I'm jealous wish that I had the bucks to get one but back in 78 I had a 57 goldtop that I sold to a friend for 375! Mind you that it was only 21 years old at the time! Should of kept it all I have now is a bunch of strats and a couple of really nice Epiphone LPs!!
Fantastic looking guitar. Unboxing a Gibson Custom guitar is something you can only experience once (unless you buy another one!) but it's a special moment.
Congratulations! I bought my Les Paul new in 1984 and have loved it ever since. Mine also has gold hardware, which has gained a nice patina over the years. I wish you many years of enjoyment with yours.
I just got my first 50s Les Paul Standard reissue three days ago and I love it. It plays so smooth and the clarity of each note when playing chords is sweet. I've always been a strat guy but now...? Enjoy!
Yo I'm an old man just got my first Gibson 1 1/2 years ago lp tribute now I have sg Jackson 7 string and a Hamer strat all of them are wonderful but I'd trade them all for that top ist truly the most beautiful I have ever seen congrats never sell it it's priceless
Gorgeous..!! The LP.. and hey.! Your Dad too..! Lol.. But you should know that as much as your Dad rightfully loves it..he probably loves you more.. ❤️❤️
Send regards to your dad. I"m also a dad, and I recently bought my first Gibson Les Paul (not so expensive). Ignore all the silly comments. It's a beautiful instrument, I hope he will enjoy playing it years to come!
Congratulations Dad! Beautiful Les Paul! I can relate to the feeling of getting your first one after so much hard work… kudos to you and family. It’s a beautiful axe surely will be loved and very well taken care.. keep strumming !! Congrats!
I unboxed the most beautiful wide flamed most expensive Gibson les paul I've ever laid eyes on. I was just about to tune it up and strum it acoustically when my wife woke me up and said Chuck Chuck what are you hollering about. One day yes sirree Bob one day. Congrats man beautiful
Congratulations from the Netherlands. You son are an amazing video camera man. Thank you so much. Congratulations on that amazing guitar. A beautiful volute. Amazing colour. Enjoy.
Beautiful guitar and case!! I bet it sounds great, and I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. I'm surprised that the Gibson custom shop doesn't put their logo on the case and that Sweetwater forgot the candy. That guitar should age really nice, and your dad should be very happy when playing it. Cheers.
Very cool guitar! I have a Les Paul but it’s not nearly as nice as your dad’s. I’m glad you got to share that with your him! Hopefully, he’ll let you play it someday if you take up guitar. Congratulations to your dad!
Really beautiful guitar, it's a special experience unboxing a new guitar, your dad made a great choice, Gibson Les Paul's hold their value, I hope to have one too one day
That’s a really nice guitar. It’s such a good feeling to unbox an expensive guitar you’ve been waiting for a while. Just got a new Fender American Jazzmaster and I share the same excitement as him lol.
Congrats, looks like it was well worth the weight. I'd reach out to your Sweetwater Sales Rep and see if they could send you the Gibson Multi-Tool as well as the candy you are missing. Looks beautiful, again, congrats.
I liked Sweetwater a few years ago. Since then...after ownership change...they appear to have tightened up on financing and no candy. Congratulations on this one!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. I love the top on it and the axxess neck is built for speed. Thank you for letting us watch you unwrap that beauty. If it plays half as nice as it looks you got a real winner there.
That is one gorgeous guitar!! I'll have to check the rest of your channel to see if you posted him playing it. I'm very curious to see if it sounds as beautiful as it looks!! I agree with you. I really like the yellow inside of the case. It looks sharp. I ordered a guitar and a case (separately because I didn't have as much money to spend on my first guitar) and Sweetwater didn't send candy with either one! They do still send candy. My husband gave our technician at Sweetwater grief, playfully, when a tripod he ordered got lost with UPS. Now, everything we get from Sweetwater has 2 or 3 packs of candy in it!
Nice video job for your pop. Great looking guitar, these access models are great players. That case is similar to a 70’s era case Gibson had. I have a 335 from 1972 with same gold interior.
Gorgeous guitar although I shudder to think about what something like that costs brand new. I'm old enough to remember when you could walk into any "guitar" shop and grab a second hand LP for under $400, lol. Okay, the $400 back then were a lot more money than it is today, but still. Anyway, I don't know if this is the place to ask about it, but I paused the video right after the guitar was pulled out of the case because the back of the headstock caught my eye and raised a question. It looks like there's a ridge running up the back of the headstock from the veloute(sp?). Is this something Gibson have started doing to try to address the extreme fragility of their headstock design? I'm not sure I love the way it looks, but if it actually makes the headstock more resistant to snapping given the slightest encouragement, I guess I can live with the back of the headstock not being stunningly gorgeous (IMHO). I do love the look of the "access" heel where the neck meets the body. Looks like it would be a dream to play higher up on the neck where traditional LPs tend to make things get awkward. Hope you enjoy the hecvk out of this beauty. Even if they did put the nose on the back of her head. ;) Edit: Wait! No candy?!? SEND IT BACK! ;)
I'm happy for you. I almost bought my "American-made "Strat" thru Sweetwater, and it's a great company. Bought lots of stuff there over the yrs, but like I said..I "Almost" bought it thru them lol. At the last minute I decided to drive to Chicago and bought it at "Rock n Roll vintage". I was just too afraid to have it shipped. I think I paid about $1,400 + the case. I can only IMAGINE what you paid for this Les Paul...I wouldn't have been able to handle the stress. I'm glad it worked out for you. I wish you many happy yrs with your beautiful, new guitar.
Sweetwater does thier own QC inspections on guitars frets ,truss rod ,String height ect.. Good pace to buy guitars because the Companies are not as thorough ,and when your a Mass Production Guitar Manufacturer Its bound to happen that something was missed congrats you picked the right place to buy a sight unseen guitar ,only place I have bought them and will !!
Not sure why anyone would have ANYTHING bad to say about that guitar or the guy that worked his ass off to buy it....Ur dad is a fuckin rockstar, and that les paul is literally custome made for a rockstar...I have 8 Les Pauls myself, just ordered number 8 this mornin in fact....I got the signature Slash November Burst and ran it through the custom shop for a few things....(This is the edited part --->) I forgot to mention how fuckin GORGEOUS that guitar is...I saw he says it didn't have as much flame as he wanted, but imho, it had the PERFECT amount of it cuz buying your first expensive guitar just happens organically, and things work out as they should.
Beautiful guitar. Should be a lifton style reissue case. They didn’t have Gibson on the case. The switch tip can break if you ship it on the guitar. Sweetwater just recently stopped doing the candy.
Well your dad got a very nice guitar! And tell him I like the flame as it is. Sometimes simple is better even though this one is very active.
Thank you I think that the flame is cool as it is too
Beautiful Congratulations ❤❤
Gorgeous axe! Now make music!
I agree with him, sorry.
I'm jealous wish that I had the bucks to get one but back in 78 I had a 57 goldtop that I sold to a friend for 375! Mind you that it was only 21 years old at the time! Should of kept it all I have now is a bunch of strats and a couple of really nice Epiphone LPs!!
Congratulations I’m 68 and still love my guitars ..it’ll never cease ..till I’m gone
Your dad should be glad with his guitar, but most of all be proud of you! Perfect unboxing video!!
Thank you
Fantastic looking guitar. Unboxing a Gibson Custom guitar is something you can only experience once (unless you buy another one!) but it's a special moment.
Beautiful guitar. Congrats to your dad!
Pretty guitar. But what a SWEET little voice running that camera. Congratulations on both, dad!
The most expensive amp I have I bought from Sweetwater, and no candy. I buy a $100 pedal and big bag of candy....go figure ;p
They give a little bag with strings 😊
Same here. A Fender Deluxe $2k + and no candy 🎉 …. Wtf
Are you all completely bonkers ? 😂
@@notecrackervideos 😂😂😂😂😂 Forget the guitar! I want the candy!!
Congratulations Dad. Wishing you many years of happiness with that beauty!
I think it looks great with that amount of flame! Sharp guitar… Congratulations brother hope you enjoy.
That's a beautiful guitar. Congrats to your dad!

Jackpot! That is a really special Gibson guitar. I love the finish and it looks fantastic. Great choice.
Gorgeous..!! The LP.. and hey.! Your Dad too..! Lol..
But you should know that as much as your Dad rightfully loves it..he probably loves you more.. ❤️❤️
Congrats Dad.... that's a fine looking Custom Shop..... play the hell out of it and enjoy....
Gorgeous instrument!😎. Congrats to your Father for this wonderful purchase. Here’s to his many future years playing that magnificent Gibson Les Paul!
Send regards to your dad. I"m also a dad, and I recently bought my first Gibson Les Paul (not so expensive). Ignore all the silly comments. It's a beautiful instrument, I hope he will enjoy playing it years to come!

That is beautiful kiddo, your dad is a very tasteful dude. Enjoy.

Myself, I like the top very much.
It's unique. Great colors and fade.
Looks wise I'd give it a ten
Congrats, looks like it was well worth the weight.
I'd reach out to your Sweetwater Sales Rep and see if they could send you the Gibson Multi-Tool as well as the candy you are missing.
Looks beautiful, again, congrats.
Fancy meeting you here HK! Starting to think we share the same TH-cam feed.
@@vladimirpoutine7522 Ha ha ha, I think YES indeed.
That is a really nice guitar. I have that same model on my wish list. It’s absolutely amazing. I give the guitar a 10 rating !!
From on dad to another... congratulations!!! Nice guitar indeed! Enjoy!
That's one hell of a guitar you have there; it's beautiful, hope it gives you plenty of joy!
Beautiful guitar, may it give your father years of playing pleasure.
She's a Beauty! Congrats!!!
What a stunning guitar. I have a LP Studio at home, Gibson make such wonderful instruments.

Brother. That’s almost too beautiful to even look at. Congrats
Gorgeous, Congrats to your Dad!
A dream Guitar! Absolutely beautiful! 😍
What a gorgeous finish
I agree, more flame and SW candy would be a 10. The kid saying he was scammed cracks me up! Lol
Wow, man! Congrats on the new addition to the family!
You just got a $ 5000 guitar and your worried about the candy ? Enjoy your Les Paul, its a beauty.
Love my 57 Les Paul standard 👍. Have had it since 65. Am now 66. This and the 62 ES 335. Quality Matters. Gibson or nothing else Matters 🇺🇸
Looks great, dude. Hope it plays as good as it looks. Enjoy it! 👍🏻💪🏻
This is the most beautiful Gibson I've ever seen!
The reason they don't put the treble and Rhythm switch when they ship it it gets broke
I wanted to hear that beast . Thats a nice Les. Love the finish.

What a beauty, congratulations! Have fun with it.
Holy ****! That's gorgeous!
Happy for you! Congrats, it's a beauty!
Wow that’s beautiful. The golden stuff looks awesome.
Absolutely beautiful. Congratulations.
reason they don't put the plastic piece on the pickup switch is sometimes it breaks during shipping
Congrats! Very happy for you, she’s a beauty!👍

Im a PRS person all day but would be proud to have your Gibson drop dead gorgeous 😂

Besides being wonderful, NO PICK GUARD!! Perfect!! Why hide that gorgeous wood finish!. The gold works well!
Nice video young man! Well done.👍☮️
I love that scooped out heel cut! My biggest complaint with LP style guitars is upper fret access.
Wowee wow o wow! That guitar is beautiful 🌈! You’re very lucky 🍀. 👍☮️🌞🎸
I buy strings i get candy. The kids, right, you got scamed dad.
I'm a huge Gibson fan. Gorgeous guitar

Beautiful! Enjoy it for many years and pass it on I can’t wait until I can get a Les Paul!
That finish is incredible
Congratulations Sir, now I know the color name. This Monday i looked at one Same color at GC at $7200. All I can say is good deal.
wife comes in screaming, 'Get that freakin' dirty box off my bed' 🤣
The irony. Her dirty box has been on it
Nigel Tufnel would give that LP an 11. That is a gorgeous guitar. Congrats! And enjoy playing that sweet LP. Please, don't take it out on gigs.
That's a beautiful guitar! A once in a life time guitar.
Thank you
That is sweeet!!!😍 Apparently they had to stop sending candy...really a shame because it was such a nice touch!
Your son sounds like a smart kid. Adorable too. And nice guitar so congrats! :)
Wait I have a son
