How to play 'Best Of My Love' by The Eagles

- An absolute classic! This is one of the first Eagles songs I ever heard and I still love it 50 years later - Wow! Join me as we take apart the strumming patterns and chord shapes for this gorgeous ballad. There are a couple of really cool fills as well that you'll want to dive right into. As always, we'll do a full playalong toward the end and I've also thrown in a lead part at the very end that captures the melody of that hauntingly catchy chorus - fabulous!
I'm using the 'Blues 2' pattern on my Beatbuddy at 90BPM for those that want to know.

When I first picked up a guitar the Cmaj7 was not only easy but beautiful to me. My first song I wrote was Cmaj7 Fmaj7 Gmaj7 and other stuff but that Cmaj7 is an inspiring sound to keep enduring the pain on the fingers. I’m a maj7 kinda guy. I’ve heard maj7 described as an optimistic sound. Great tip about using the side of the first finger when barring so it’s clearer than when the fat of the finger is trying to bar. 🤙🤙

Great tutorial, I especially like that you played it on the 6 string for lesson purposes. It is plain as day when you hear the song that there is at least one acoustic 12 string in there. Anyone lucky enough to have a 12 string will know everything required to play this song!

That Aeros looper. It went by pretty quick but the Gold version has silent buttons. The normal Aeros looper has buttons that make a clicking sound like all buttons. If you’re going for an Aeros, consider the Gold version. 😊

I don’t know which scale the solo is in. I’m trying to learn so I’m going to say, I think it’s the C Maj scale even though I would have said A minor without the context of the song.
