Nope Regional pricing should be there on Consoles too. Some Developers do that like 4A Games from Ukraine has priced Metro Games on Consoles regionally in India (atleast on Xbox). The game sells for ~₹150 during sales, with Gold edition going for only 200, that's cheaper than Steam.
Well Karl as far as the prices go, we pay the foreign prices on other items as well. I know games are software and technically they can be sold cheaper to poorer countries like our Pakistan but its not foreign countries fault that we're so corrupt and consequently poor. Maybe if there was some sort of local production then we could afford to bring down prices of consoles, pcs, even other things like cars, mobile phones etc too but in the current scenario of Pakistan these dreams are far away
Gaming is very popular in Pakistan specially mobile games because it's easy to play on there Pakistan has made its name in gaming community alot in the last 5 years. Thank for having me in this video bro ❤️

Thanks Karl, this was quite an interesting insight into gaming over there in Pakistan. Makes me appreciate how fortunate I am with what I have here in Australia. Growing up in the 80s and 90s in Australia with a Japanese background, I had consoles from Japan sent to me from my grandparents, years before they were released locally. I had the Famicom (NES) in 1985 and all the neighbourhood kids would be at my house everyday playing Mario. I had a Super Famicom (SNES) in 1990 a whole year and a half before the local release, kids were blown away by it. I'm 44 now and still love gaming!
5:00. I'm glad he has a nice setup. Console and a pretty nice pc. Sure, the PC isn't spec'd out for 2022, but, it should play almost everything at medium to high settings (maybe not the most brand new titles, but anything from the past 10 years). My last computer/laptop had about the same specs (860m, i7-4710hq, 8gb ram, ssd, etc.). It was still amazing up until 2021 when it starting having some thermal/heat issues (after I had owned it 7 years); otherwise I'd still be using it! Good for him!

Greetings from the small island of Malta. As a teen in 2005 I built my first gaming pc with an Intel P4 Prescott and an ATI X800. Me and a lot of my friends used to play for hours in Unreal Tournament 3 and Counter Strike. Sadly at that time the arcade scene in my town was starting to fade away, we used to hang out a bar in the weekends that had all various arcade machines. The most popular ones at that time where from SNK : King Of Fighters and the Metal Slug Series. The console scene was and still quite strong, most popular console here is the PlayStation.
Thanks for bringing this topic, Karl. Here in Indonesia is not much different, for next gen console, series s is number 1 choice cause it’s much cheaper and xbox have game pass.
1:53 the price is much cheaper in western countries where they sell 1000's of consoles a day. Any country where people can't afford to buy consoles, the price will be high. The same with games on the next generation console, it will be ridiculously high compared to au/nz

So my first console was an NES at my grandparents house we had super mario bros 2 for and that's it. Then the first games I played on PC were Roller Coaster Tycoon and Starcraft (also tried warcraft, but wasn't as much of a fan of it). Then our family got a Playstation, which we later modded and then from there on we got just about every console where my brother usually did a soft mod to play copied games besides the xbox, which was mine that I used to play online a lot back when online play was a novelty where everyone you played with in general were awesome people who just appreciated having someone to play and chat with. Nothing better then a good game of Halo 2 zombies, tank jumping and rocket/sword glitching out of the map, and blowing up a base full worth of mechs in Mech Assault 2... Actually, played through new years when it came out and blew up a ton of mechs as a new years celebration. After the Xbox 360 though it became harder to afford game consoles where I camped out overnight for the Wii, but I didn't get an Xbox one for a long while after that. My brother continued getting Sony consoles, but at that point we didn't live together. I don't play console games as much anymore, but I still have an Xbox one and Nintendo switch, but my room really isn't in the greatest condition to be able to have my game consoles set up like that.
As a teen - nothing - way too old - there wasn't any 'computers' back when I was a kid. Played board games / cards / rode bikes / fishing and other games. Computers didn't show up till I was in my 20's. Then way too much money for a newly married / raising a family guy. I still play Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat mod today. Too many cheaters in the newer games. Take care - Be safe.

My first gaming experience in Pakistan was commodore 64 in early 90s, then Sega mega drive 2. Followed by ps2 and now ps4. I do gaming on my pc too. 32 and still playing games.
In my teen years I was all over the place with gaming. I was playing PC, Playstation 1/2, N64, Dreamcast, and frequenting arcades. These days my main console is PS5.
Karl, in your other video where you were checking out gaming stores in New Delhi, you showed a clip of a surfing game and also a half pipe game. I seem to remember playing it as a kid but can't remember what the game is called....
my family wasnt rich so as a teen I had a pretty diy setup. this was in the mid 2000s so the specs were definitely not up there. I got a laptop with a busted screen that I scavenged from a friend's dad (it costed more to fix it than to replace it and he needed it functional for work). upgraded the ram (as much as possible from a laptop) and hooked it up to a desktop screen. On there, I ran lots of emulators for consoles (old and current at the time) with pirated games. I also plugged it into my stereo's sound system so I could have my (very legal) playlist. it was my first own computer in my owm room, with the internet and all (before that, I had to use the family computer in the living room. not exactly ideal). When ADSL and unlimited internet became a thing, my pc was downloading all night hahaha It wasnt the best, and it didnt run all the latest games, but it was mine and I did it myself. thats also why I am very much a keyboard/mouse player
Some 15 year old kid in India having a better gaming setup than me. While I'm 25 in Germany and still playing on my ps3 with a soundsystem that I've found in the trash.
The reason these consoles and games are so overpriced is because the companies that make the consoles does not officially support selling them here in Pakistan (Same is with Iphone market). Everything is imported by people on their own and they try to sell here after paying taxes + customs and wanting to get a profit off of it, it is mostly at least 30% or more expensive here than the price in US(for example). They mostly order things in shipments because its easier for them. So a custom order can take up to a few months to arrive at your doorstep. As for games, its the same story, but for PC gamers, Steam (Valve) has special rates for SEA regions, a game that costs 60$ in US, can sometimes cost 30-40$ here in Pakistan. Also from a consumer point of view, if I were to buy a console and something goes wrong with it, i cannot claim any warranty and will be at the mercy of the seller if he has any channel to take it to a country, have it repaired and brought back to me, it can take a while.
That is good setup I have i7 second gen I got from a thrift shop for 60 and it came with 16gigs ram and motherboard and case.i have a gtx 980 kingpin classified edition 😀
So sad that regional pricing is not a thing for console games. I understand it from a business perspective as you’d just get people making accounts as if they live in the cheaper areas but it still just sucks.
Steam offers special prices for Pakistan though they are still much higher than countries with higher salaries and better economies like Turkey. But it's still much better than having games prices according to Western earnings
As a teen i had a spectrum then an amiga 500 then a megadrive then a snes, I grew up in the early days of gaming only in the early 90's then did i have a pc, Gaming back then was more affordable, Especially piracy on the spectrum, Easy and convenient, I mean i still bought games time to time 😅

Take care - Be safe.

awesome man!keep it up👍
Thanks! Will do!
From what it looks like, you’re likely to find a bear in Pakistan before you can find a Xbox Series X
PS5 costs the equivalent of 868 USD nowadays in Brazil
Lucky Zach Waheed !! Dude's got such a Setup in just 15 years !!
I love those old fashioned wonky video game arcades in under developed countries.
My first gaming experience in Pakistan was commodore 64 in early 90s, then Sega mega drive 2. Followed by ps2 and now ps4. I do gaming on my pc too. 32 and still playing games.
That's so cool :) You're about the same age as me 😉
@@KarlRock I played paperboy too on commodore 64 another game I remember from that era was street rod!
I hadnthr commodore 64 loved flimbos quest lol
it's the same prices as Iran, but we have much less average income, it's $200!! piracy is also a lot here.
Indian/Pakistani Pewdiepie p.s your videos are amazing Karl.
That kid has a better set up than mine 😭
Love u bro.. pakistani breakfast is best vlog ever in you tube..
Paper Boy and California Games
my family wasnt rich so as a teen I had a pretty diy setup. this was in the mid 2000s so the specs were definitely not up there.
When ADSL and unlimited internet became a thing, my pc was downloading all night hahaha
It wasnt the best, and it didnt run all the latest games, but it was mine and I did it myself. thats also why I am very much a keyboard/mouse player
That gaming set up is awesome!
I learned something new. Thank you.
i was playing more games as a kid, and in my teens i were pretty busy socializing and school, and as an adult i started to game again
The consoles’ package is written in Arabic, I guess they get them from the Saudi Arabia or the UAE and sell them for crazy prices
When a console games gonna learn theyre too expensive not matter where you live XD And Zac's setups sick as
That is good setup I have i7 second gen I got from a thrift shop for 60 and it came with 16gigs ram and motherboard and case.i have a gtx 980 kingpin classified edition 😀
So sad that regional pricing is not a thing for console games. I understand it from a business perspective as you’d just get people making accounts as if they live in the cheaper areas but it still just sucks.
You can limit the sales to Pakistani / Indian credit cards. That solves the problem.
@@KarlRock True I hadn’t thought about that! I hope more companies start offering this
Karl stopped saying Assalam O Alikum. Its Pretty sad how people are just changed day by day
When I was a teen, I had a Vic 20 with a cassette drive then moved up to a Commodore 64 with a 5 1/4 floppy drive. I was on the moon! 😊
Pakistan 🇵🇰 is so beautiful country there are so many places for visit and enjoying
Steam offers special prices for Pakistan though they are still much higher than countries with higher salaries and better economies like Turkey. But it's still much better than having games prices according to Western earnings
5:55 hmm, just a potato laptop. not because of money but my parents just don't allow me to play online games much.
Good video 👍
Arcade ❤️😎
As a teen I had a Sinclair ZX81 then later upgraded to a Sinclair Spectrum. Most of you have been spoiled me thinks !
Wow sir... Cool... ❤️❤️❤️
Love how the kids at the start were freaking out at the iphone 😂
I have doubts that arcades are running on real hardware . I think inside of the shell is just a Pandora Box or old PC .
How was The Witcher 3 if you got the chance to play it? Personally i loved it though it took me a while to find.
im afghan myself and i love your videos Karl
You looks like PewDiePie really .. ❤️😘😘😘
My man u gotta play Witcher3. lelelelele 🔥
Commodore 64 with a tape drive......👍👌👍
I run a monster 12 core on an x570 now days its crazy how far computing has come.......
Karl, I love this channel. I'm addicted to your content.
I look forward to the day people in India say "Pewdiepie looks like Karl Rock" 😂
As a teen i had a spectrum then an amiga 500 then a megadrive then a snes, I grew up in the early days of gaming only in the early 90's then did i have a pc, Gaming back then was more affordable, Especially piracy on the spectrum, Easy and convenient, I mean i still bought games time to time 😅
Pakistan is a wonderful country and Pakistanis are great people. Love from Azerbaijan to our brothers ❤
Love you too ❤
