    I grew up seeing these types of relationships within my family, on both sides. Some of them had pretty good marriages, others did not. But the thought of each person having their own space (in some capacity) is good. Separate homes may not work for some couples, but it could work for more than what most would imagine. At the end of the day, only mature minded people can thrive and maintain a mature relationship. Nothing works without respect and a genuine connection. I’m glad this works for Sheryl Lee Ralph and her Husband. They a lovely family too, and everyone looks healthy and happy. Bless them all 💖

    You are married to yourself not your mate. Separation sometimes is the key to rejuvenate yourself and your relationship. Absence does make the heart grow founder. But in marriage you have to constantly fight to come together in order for it to be healthy. I have found that life, challenges, people, technology, and etc constantly seperates you from your mate And you have to constantly carve out time to share your life with your spouse. Making them a priority. I'm just saying.

      It is a marriage. And this is my profession. I am a marriage and family therapist. I will never understand why so many people think that their version of marriage is the only one out there. Marriage is not about living together or not living together, it is about the commitment that you make to one another. All the other stuff is what you and the one that you love decides for it to be, there is not rule book. You define your marriage.

      @frankwright1571 then why does immigration check to see if spouses are co habitating then? Why do they they deny u if u are not in a day to day habitation with your spouse? immigration says otherwise bro, and if u have to live a separate life from your spouse to be happy then that is not committment, nor do u like that person if not waking up next to that person everyday doesnt affect you then u are just there for convenience!! Its obvious the act of getting married was for other purposes they have a contract in place. As a marriage therapist u should know that 70% of traditional long distance relationships fail after 3 months!!!

    • @frankwright1571
      @frankwright1571 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@chercher304 That is not true. We don't keep stats on that. Who are these people reporting their failed relationships after 3 months? That does not happen. You need to re-evaluate why you care so much about other people relationships. No one is forcing you to have a long distant relationship. Have whatever relationship that you like. Just because something is not for you, it does not mean that it is not a thing. You only get to define your marriage for you, not for other people.
