The Color pops like really well and the initial interior colors, i mean i would not have chosen them or come up with them but they look cool, like home, not something you buy from a shelf. and initial size is massive, 60ft is a big boat but it looks so slim and cool and wow, this will be one helluva unique bot and one of the kind in the world. and one thing i hope it will bring us to new adventures around the world, feels like SLV season 3 is beginning and will be bigger than before.

We moved into our new home on the banks of the Chesapeake in December. 12 years planning. 2 years building. I feel your excitement, and sense of accomplishment. Congratulations! It's not cheap or easy (or everyone would do it), but it's so worth it, and we're so lucky mate. And the statement "we'll never want to leave this" is a real thing. We're calling it the honeymoon period. Our friends have given up inviting us anywhere until the honeymoon is over🙂
I’m not a sailor, but what charms me about this peek at your boat is how you focused right away on its performance and safety features (okay, after first marveling at the paint, which honestly is a triumph). It’s a beautiful boat.
If you're interested in sailing, a great way to start is to join a local sailing club and take lessons there. It's great fun! Using their boats is also vastly cheaper than owning one. (There are sailing clubs very far inland too.)
The only trouble I have when watching you guys is that I reckon I cry with happiness for you all, literally cry, during around 85% of your videos. You guys are super, and as a family, you should be super proud in every way. It is a real joy following you. It makes me reflect on my own life, and thank you so much for every episode. That boat would have suited you quite well pre-kids. Now that you have a family and a Nanny, I think it will prove to be a bit too small and tight. While maybe not as fast, a 60 Cat. would have been a bit more practical IMHO. That said, I hope I'm wrong and you guys enjoy it.

Wow. You don’t appreciate the size of this boat until you see the rig! It just doesn’t look at all like a sixty footer until you see the rig. So many great sailing channels, but I just subscribed. I have sailed the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific with my cruising boats over the years. This boat looks “special”.

The boat looks absolutely amazing ❤ . Such a long and beautiful way with ups and downs until now. As the Podcast Elayna started playing in the video said; "stress affects us all". We all have moments of discomfort and a feeling of feeling overwhelmed as part of the journey as well as the good moments. Being a calm person myself with living abroad for years, studying in international environments, flying intercontinental, long distance rs, educating myself weekly about emotional intelligence, psychology, brain behavior, rs,.... even i have emotional struggles from time to time. You guys are true troopers. Finding the right partner always means a lot of work, growing together, learning experiences and the beauty of creating something together. You guys not only did that but also created a youtube sailing channel and sharing the beauty of sailing, challenges, traveling,... and last but not least also raising a family. You guys deserve that boat more than any sailor i know out there. Please stay beautiful, kind and authentic as you have been for the last years. I am so happy for you two! Film cameras! You mean like the kind we used to use in the years before the turn of the century! Have fun, but take the time to meticulously plan every shot, as film and developing gets very expensive, very quick. "I'm never going to want to leave this boat." TA-DAA!!! You nailed it. I love the old copper plumbing look -- nice touch. Sailing area to weight ratio: Excellent light-wind sailing velocity! Obviously, for safety's sake (family), you'll have to resist the urge to "press the edges of the envelope." Don't trust in the "60 tons righting moment." It's there for safety, not for pushing the envelope. As a pilot, it was of the utmost importance that I knew the aircraft's limitations as well as the boundaries. While an aircraft might do 4.1 g's, it would break and kill me at 4.2 g's, so I never pushed it beyond 2 g's, the no-turbulence force developed at 60 degrees of bank in level flight. Then, because of turbulence, I never went beyond 30 degrees in a turn (VFR) or the bank required for a standard rate turn (IFR). Safety, first, and your new home is more like a fast business jet than a 2 to 4-place general aviation aircraft. The boat will be much more fun for all involved if you keep it well inside the envelope. "No more boats for a while! I mean it!" Uh... What about your dinghy? Aren't you going to have a dingy?

I love Headspace! It got me past a real tough time with panic attacks and anxiety issues. They have a thing on Netflix too! I love the boat design!! It’s so unique and the copper beautifully brings it together. You mentioned the word saloon and that vibe feels spot on. It’s so fun and it seems like it’ll be so wonderful for you in the exotic places you’ll be in. I love the yellow hull too, so bright and easy to see!

Too funny! I just watched Nikki on a shakedown cruise with Paul (from HH Catamarans) and Erik from Morrelli & Melvin. They were on a GINORMOUS 88 foot catamaran called "Crazy Love." Erik explained that the main hydraulic winches can handle 5 ton loads! Crazy, indeed. Nice to see that MM sends navel architects out to the projects to make sure things are as they were intended! Okay, this is going to be harder than you thought, Nick & Terysa just started voyaging on their new cat😀 and everything is going sideways; Nikki and Jason will be taking delivery of their HH-44 and are expecting things to be "eye opening" on their first four day passage. They were crewing for Nick & Terysa and started to think twice about the easy with witch they'll begin their new cruising life. You guys will do just fine, but it will be overwhelming for the first month. Take it easy, don't try to do too much. And remember to pace things so the kids aren't overwhelmed, taking things at their speed will keep you two much more relaxed. Loved the explanation of the rudder... 😀😀😀

Dyneema is great. Will be interesting to see how it holds up. I've used if many times. I always wanted something over it to protect it. I got a lot of holes in things that were exposed to wear and tear with dyneema. Not really a fan of the colors. But everyone has different styles. Also would try foils for lift. See if she'd fly. Then, reduced hull shape won't matter as much. I'm interested to see how she sails. I think its a great platform. I'd just like more open space.

The boat looks absolutely amazing ❤ . Such a long and beautiful way with ups and downs until now. As the Podcast Elayna started playing in the video said; "stress affects us all". We all have moments of discomfort and a feeling of feeling overwhelmed as part of the journey as well as the good moments. Being a calm person myself with living abroad for years, studying in international environments, flying intercontinental, long distance rs, educating myself weekly about emotional intelligence, psychology, brain behavior, rs,.... even i have emotional struggles from time to time. You guys are true troopers. Finding the right partner always means a lot of work, growing together, learning experiences and the beauty of creating something together. You guys not only did that but also created a youtube sailing channel and sharing the beauty of sailing, challenges, traveling,... and last but not least also raising a family. You guys deserve that boat more than any sailor i know out there. Please stay beautiful, kind and authentic as you have been for the last years. Film cameras! You mean like the kind we used to use in the years before the turn of the century! Have fun, but take the time to meticulously plan every shot, as film and developing gets very expensive, very quick.
"I'm never going to want to leave this boat." TA-DAA!!! You nailed it. I love the old copper plumbing look -- nice touch.
Sailing area to weight ratio: Excellent light-wind sailing velocity! Obviously, for safety's sake (family), you'll have to resist the urge to "press the edges of the envelope." Don't trust in the "60 tons righting moment." It's there for safety, not for pushing the envelope. As a pilot, it was of the utmost importance that I knew the aircraft's limitations as well as the boundaries. While an aircraft might do 4.1 g's, it would break and kill me at 4.2 g's, so I never pushed it beyond 2 g's, the no-turbulence force developed at 60 degrees of bank in level flight. Then, because of turbulence, I never went beyond 30 degrees in a turn (VFR) or the bank required for a standard rate turn (IFR). Safety, first, and your new home is more like a fast business jet than a 2 to 4-place general aviation aircraft. The boat will be much more fun for all involved if you keep it well inside the envelope.

Too funny! I just watched Nikki on a shakedown cruise with Paul (from HH Catamarans) and Erik from Morrelli & Melvin. They were on a GINORMOUS 88 foot catamaran called "Crazy Love." Erik explained that the main hydraulic winches can handle 5 ton loads! Crazy, indeed. Nice to see that MM sends navel architects out to the projects to make sure things are as they were intended! Okay, this is going to be harder than you thought, Nick & Terysa just started voyaging on their new cat😀 and everything is going sideways; Nikki and Jason will be taking delivery of their HH-44 and are expecting things to be "eye opening" on their first four day passage. They were crewing for Nick & Terysa and started to think twice about the easy with witch they'll begin their new cruising life. You guys will do just fine, but it will be overwhelming for the first month. Take it easy, don't try to do too much. And remember to pace things so the kids aren't overwhelmed, taking things at their speed will keep you two much more relaxed. Loved the explanation of the rudder... 😀😀😀

Dyneema is great. Will be interesting to see how it holds up. I've used if many times. I always wanted something over it to protect it. I got a lot of holes in things that were exposed to wear and tear with dyneema.
Not really a fan of the colors. But everyone has different styles. Also would try foils for lift. See if she'd fly. Then, reduced hull shape won't matter as much.
I'm interested to see how she sails. I think its a great platform. I'd just like more open space.
