Go for it! As Landyachtz posted, Battle Axe is great to start, but a Dhingy is fun, too. Do some research, though, find out what you want to do, then just try it. It's not super expensive to start, but it can be if you get really into it.

Unfortunately they can still be kinda shitty outside the expensive af major cities. Mine’s better than my hometown no doubt but there’s far more banged up, nearly unskatable shit than there is good stuff.

It's really good to see expert skateboarders/longboarders still wearing helmets. May I know why you guys still wear your helmets?
Brain damage is the reality. I wear a helmet so my loved ones can eat vegetables instead of taking care of a vegetable for the rest of my days. It might also save everyone a little money on their healthcare premiums in the long run.
@@liammckenzie2661 Not only that Liam you have probably saved a life, as some youngster may have decided to accept using a helmet because he/she saw you wearing one.
Maybe you should take into consideration that they may not want brain damage.

Actually they never even found his body. They exhumed his remains and did a dna test decades later, turns out the body they thought was Tom Thompson's was actually some other random persons body. So they still have no idea where he is...
All of these good spots but not a single carhole was hit... dundas square would have been legendary. flying out of a 7 floor overground into the front of a hospital is a beautiful thing.

Need help deciding. I used to skate a long time ago, and wanting a cruisey board to go down to the beach walks in Brighton (UK, if anyone knows it!). So Im not wanting to ollie/flip anymore, need something that can turn quickly and in an tight circle, and need it to be comfy and forgiving. Should I go for a battle axe...but I feel im also possibly needing something I can lift the nose up over bad pavements, kerbs. Whats the best Landyachtz to go for?

Pintails aren't made for tricks they're made more for cruising/carving. If you want to do tricks invest in a board with a tail

I have a dinghy but I can't trick it's so frustrating to land an Ollie😂 But I mainly don't practice bc I'm afraid of breaking it or chipping off the grip tape too much. Probably bc it's my first board

The bridge between longboard and cruiser board has been shrinking over the years. These boards are 35" and are a hybrid of both. Great for cruising, bombing hills, and doing tricks.

Longboards come in many shapes, and types. For example these look like extended skateboards with the wheels further out

stuck in quarentine here in petawawa...all i want to do is go skate toronto or ottawa...no good spots here.
This makes me wanna order a Dinghy but I feel like my feet are too big :( I have a nickel board and it’s SO tiny. Even though the dinghy is very much wider.
I need to go to a shop and see if they have one and actually be able to try it, I’ve tried one before I started skating and it felt significantly smaller but I also wasn’t at all comfy on a normal board

Justin Descant Keep your eyes open and I guarantee you'll find something. One of the best spot I ever found was a concrete ditch at a grain elevator in rural Michigan. The thing was in the middle of nowhere, no security, and abandoned 3/4 of the year. You gotta just grab your board and start pushing. Skate and explore.
