Hi! Thanks for the video! I have booked a trip for this coming September and am wondering about the weather that time of year I’m going the back end of September -start of October. Super nervous about going alone this is my first time traveling alone 😊
I recommend keeping an eye on the 10 day forecast before you leave and pack accordingly! likely you'll get a mix of weather, but it's one of my favorite months to travel anyways! As for solo travel for the first time - try sitting in your discomfort and see if you can recognize what those individual fears are. If you can identify them, you can address them. I find this helps! I'm proud of you for stepping outside your comfort zone. Traveling solo changed my life and I hope it does the same for you! Enjoy your trip. :)
Thanks for all the info! I’ve been considering Contiki for a couple years. I’m coming up to the cut off age so I feel I need to decide once and for all if I should go on a trip. Were there 30-somethings on your trips? I’m not into partying so I wonder if traveling with 20-somethings would be traveling with the wrong crowd.
You’re welcome! I hope it was helpful! And yes, there were 30+ year olds on my trips! There really was the whole age range 18-35. And like I mentioned in the video, I didn’t party much on my last one and I still had tons of fun. There was a group of 10+ of us who were in our later 20s-35 and we all naturally gravitated to each other. ☺️
@@sarahcosca thank you! That really makes me feel better because that was a huge deal that was holding me back. I didn’t want to be the solo 34 yr old who doesn’t want to go to the bars.
@@phantomvideowatcher I’m glad because I don’t think your age should deter you at all! Everyone is there to travel, have a good time & make friends. My bestie that I made on my last trip was 34 and everyone loved him! ☺️ do you know which trip you want to do?
@@sarahcosca I know I want to take one of their trips to Peru but I keep changing my mind about doing the short one that just explores that area or the longer one that visits nearby countries too. It’s my nerves that are making me lean toward the shorter one. Getting through 8 days is doable in case I hate it. But doing 18 days would be so much more fun in the event that I love it. Ya know? Did you feel the length of your trips were too short, too long, or just right?
@@phantomvideowatcher I have always wished the trips were longer because I just lean into the experience. I really do feel like contiki is the perfect example of ‘you get out what you put in’ - I always make an effort to meet everyone, step out of my comfort zone, etc. it’s always going to be scary, but I’m always always happy I did it. Also, Peru sounds incredible!
Thank you for all the information on the video; it was really helpful! I'm going on my first solo trip ever with Contiki, and I wanted to know if people usually take a backpack or a suitcase. Also, English is not my first language, and I'm starting to think that I might be the only one because, so far, I've only found Americans and Australians who go with Contiki. Have you ever traveled with people who don’t have English as their first language?
This is so kind! :) You are going to have so much fun! I have traveled with many people on Contiki who did not speak English as a first language. Plus, everyone is there for the same reason - to travel and make friends! Don't be too afraid to put yourself out there. I took a backpack the first time and a carry on suitcase the second time. Totally personal preference. I hope this is helpful!
@@tinkerbella7391 yes! It totally depends on each individual group, but the last Contiki I went on definitely had the whole range. My bestie on the trip was 34!
I have the coolest daughter. Wow! Look at you go. ❤

Thank for this video! V informative
I’m so glad that it was helpful for you!! ☺️
The age range makes me a little worried. I'm 33, were there any "older" travelers in the groups haha
