No ifs, ands or butts (sorry), Lainey is my favorite country singer. She's cute, tough, humble, has an amazing voice and never fails to thank Jesus Christ for her success. That's my kind of girl.
He's not lying, my roommate was playing rdr2 and I got sucked into the story. I mean I was also playing it myself but I was taking my sweet time enjoying the depths of the environment while he was just plowing through the story as fast as he could. I ended up watching most of the story through his game. Arthur Morgan will go down as one of the greatest characters ever written. I was upset at John's fate at the end of Rdr1 but Arthur's had me crying like a bitch. A masterpiece of entertainment for sure.
It’s hard as hell riding and herding cattle in west Texas. You realize why chaps are necessary. One of the best times and memories of my life. My everything hurt doing that, getting up with the sun, feeding animals then going to work slinging hash as a waitress and then going to high school. Played every sport available to females and all the academics as well. Oh don’t forget about band and marching in the band. That’s what we did! That’s what made us tough and strong and with a will to do whatever we wanted to. Growing up out there in the middle of nowhere made me strong and independent and ready to become who I wanted to be. It’s not for everyone but it’ll definitely prepare you for some hard knocks and for pushing where you want to go.
"Country" artists had a country lifestyle before they became famous as musicians. As a "senior citizen" now, I can testify that "bell bottom jeans" existed & were extremely popular by both men & women, as were platform shoes, silk shirts, living for the weekend & everything depicted in the movie "Saturday Night Fever", including dance contests...
I agree this is a throwback. Truthfully, most of hers are. It seems alot more like this are coming out also. Theres a group of 3 sisters called the Castellows. Who are putting out some great music. Hurricane, Red dirt girl, number 7 road that they wrote. One more they wrote called I believe its miss america. I enjoy the channel
They are bell bottoms and even in the 1970's us boys wore them too. Look back at some of your Elvis videos. Love this girl. She is a kick ass cowgirl born and raised.
I only started watching yal at really dark time in my life in 2022. Had to have 4 hip replacements then in Sept 2023 I fell and broke my Femur and had not been able to bare wieght still. And yal South me. It takes me to sleep at night. And I love you learning why we are deep dug in hunker down. Thank yal
Yes, Ali needs a good pair of bell bottoms. Don't knock it, bell bottoms are SO comfortable and are durable at the same time. (you know, in case you need both at the same time) Meanwhile, I can see why there's nothing but love for this girl. She's fantastic!
Bell bottoms were the thing in the early 70's. Straightened more in late 70's-80's and were called boot cut. Fit over the boot top, broke at the arch, and covered the heel. Then, by 2000, the boot cut got more belled. I prefer true boot cut. The jack she refers to is Jack Daniels whiskey. Lainey Wilson plays Abby in the show Yellowstone.
How far away are you all from Las Vegas? The very BEST Rodeo every year is in Las Vegas in December, It's called "The National Finals" for the PRCA and there is another Finals for the IPRA in January in Oklahoma City. Both are indoor so you don't have to worry much about the weather. I remember back in 1993 in Las Vegas we actually had freezing Rain!! Plus in Vegas they have this thing called the Cowboy Christmas which is tons and tons of shopping for western wear.. Love your show, Sebs!!!
It is hard to beat Oregon trail but not impossible, I have done it a few times. The trick is at the beginning when buying supplies guns, ammo, salt, and spare parts for wagon are priority. As well as cow and chickens also some items that are intended for trade then through out the game hunt or fish often. Also scavenge for fresh wild produce often.
Highly recommend listening to Alan Jackson. Good time is a classic, or Chattahoochee. If you want a sad one from him, Where were you, but that one might be a little too sensitive for some as its a song about 9/11
My son, (25 yrs old) said "Mom, this gal is some relation to us.". Big smile on his face. He means her last name & the lyrics in this song. After listening to her I have to agree. Much love for her, although I'm more of a rock n' roll girl at heart this definitely is us.
I agree with you - she's a kind of throwback to old country. This is my first time hearing her, and I'm intrigued to try more. The only criticism I have is that, as with most modern music of any genre, there is too much refrain and not enough verse. At least this refrain is interesting!
Carrie underwood/vince gill how great thou art. Awesome & unbelievable vocals! Jesus take the wheel ! Bon Joy-Blaze of Glory Boot cut jeans are country. Miranda lambert , white liar , Mr tin man, gunpowder & lead
Lanie was 9 and her daddy bought an unbroken horse to her put her on its back slapped it butt, and told her not to come home til she had broken that horse. She plows, cutting hay all that’s on a fram that’s been done
No this song is some kind of a hybrid rock country pop thing. Actual genuine authentic country is almost non existent. Zach Top is the real deal and the only 100 pct to the core country music today but he gets very little recognition. You guys check him out.
She got her first unbroken horse. Her dad told her not to come back til he was broken. She can drive. A tractor like no one business She’s true true country
BEEN telling you about Lainey….Donations only keep you from really good stuff. Louisiana Lady, Farm Girl, brining traditional country back to female country music. Offensive that your first words referred to her butt.
No ifs, ands or butts (sorry), Lainey is my favorite country singer. She's cute, tough, humble, has an amazing voice and never fails to thank Jesus Christ for her success. That's my kind of girl.
She's from Baskin LA. Very small town... natural born country girl and proud of it.
She also rode a horse in her video... heart like a truck

We rocked those bell bottoms in the seventies and Lainey Wilson loves them. Love love love her music!
I hear a little Dolly Parton in her voice. I'm not a country western person usually but her voice is wonderful!
I refer to her as the modern day Dolly. She definitely sounds like her for sure!
Dolly is her idol so she modeled her voice after her!

Love hearing Lainey bringing that Western sound. Not enough of it in today's Country music.
That's Molly Tuttle on guitar. The Bluegrass star with alopecia that Sebs loves.

So glad that "true" country hasn't died!
