Very interesting. Had a conversation about reload and sending the slide forward just last night. In my personal experience with striker fired or hammer guns, I’ve been able to insert the mag hard enough to send the slide forward. In my head I’ve had concerns about breaking an extractor or something else. The professional smiths I’ve spoken with, said slam away worry free. Thoughts?
With 2011 style guns breaking the ejector is a potential issue because of the design of the mag and gun! However, most guns are designed to be able to handle firmer mag insertion. If your guns do it 100% then have at it, BUT if you can't guarantee that I'd recommend using something like this. My m&ps did it all the time, but I still learned how to do this because it works with all guns!
Thank you for all the information you give away. Really appreciated
For sure!!
I tend drop the slide too early and end up with an empty chamber. This a a great suggestion, gonna try it out. thanks!
Let me know how it goes!! It should help a lot :)
Thanks for making things easy
I do my best to help others!!
You can’t beat basics of gun handling
Fundamentals applied to a high level make for a great shooter!

Depends on the pistol and mags if you can damage something. It's not all the same.
