Great job of adjusting, I always ask questions when the wet engine flyers are at the field tinkering with the engines which seems like a nightmare to me but it's what they like to do, part of the hobby, maybe someday? When I was still flying glow on a performance engine you just gave a little backflip but don't pull it through the stroke. As soon as it hit compression it would flip itself the right way and start.
Hey capt Robert why don’t you teach the viewers how to install the receivers and setup the radio the ailerons the rudder and so on. Your beginners would appreciate it.
Capt blaz I got a kyosho p40 with magnum xl 52 4 stroke close for madien flight were almost ready I wanna run the on board glow do I have to run a lipo to power it or can I run 5 cell nickel metal receiver pack ?

Ahh this video is a classic. You guys recorded it right at about the time it all started to come together for you. BUT.. the big question is... Isn't it awkward for Mrs. Blaz when Captain Blaz has to request permission to screw from Pilot Robert?? Hahaha
You've got to put the trottle trim at a 100%, then set the engine. When you want to turn off the engine, just idle it and then put the throttle trim down at 0. Good luck!
Nitro engines are very reliable if you tune them properly. This seems too lean on the low speed mixture control. A third turn out and it will pick up no problem. Adjusting the high speed only won’t help with the transition at all. The pinch test will confirm if the low speed is rich or lean. Transitions with nitro should be instant, like an electric motor. You should never settle for anything else. Lastly, always use the same nitro content and same brand of fuel. And change in nitro content will require a retune of both low and high speed needle valves.
Captain Blaz "Made in 1983". Too funny! No offense Blaz, but Evolution engines = POS. Definitely the worst engine in your collection. NIce! A split S turn!!! Finally some aerobatics! Pretty hot landing. I think it would slow a bit more. A nice full stall 6 inches above the runway would be fun. Nice flight Blaz.
Carburetor low speed mixture a little lean for throttle transition perhaps? Under high power after take off with it surging like that, also suggests that the high speed mixture is also a little lean too..?

Such a good looking plane. I immediately went to knifeedge com and downloaded user created file PIPER CHEROKEE_EA.rfx for my RealFlight RF8 simulator. It flies and handles beautifully and has the 4 stroke sound - love it. This file will work with RF 4.5 to 8 Oh, and file/plane has flaps and retracts. EDIT 2, don't use the retracts, they only register visually when landed. Still a good file though.
Another lesson in tenacity and success for the brothers. And for such a deserving old bird. BUT today I see you two have made the 5 thousand mark in subscribers. CONGRATULATIONS Pilot Robert and Capt Blaz. We cant be there in person but know we're here in spirit and totally enjoy what you bring us. SALUTE !!

Captain Blaz, not everyone can be as good as you with the filming and zooming, you have the magic touch with the camera!!! It is very difficult to do unless you have that magic touch :-) You are also a very good pilot!! :-) Great landing too!!! :-) Still it was nice filming and zooming by Captain Robert because we were able to see Captain Blaz performing some very nice wing overs!! :-) Very enjoyable video!! :-)

I have had a few engines that would suddenly run bad because some of the old crud in the engine gets to the glow plug and causes trouble, in some cases the crud gets flushed out after a tank or two while running on the ground but bad bearings will never get better as you know :-D Have a GREAT day guys!! :-)

Sorry for the late response, Robert! It was a great day for flying here yesterday as well so I just had to do some fun flying of my own :-D I only have 1 electric plane, the rest are glow because I love the smell of burning nitro ......and of course that awesome 4 stroke sound :-) I have glow helicopters too but right now I like planes best, next month it may be back to helicopters :-) The helicopters are all 2 stroke but they still sound good with such large mufflers on them. :-) You are so very welcome!! I love nitro and you guys! Keep nitro alive. The piper is one of my favorites. Those wing bands are awesome looking in the air. Fluorescents are the best colors for flying. I wish you had 10 more feet on that runway.
This Plane reminds me of my youth. I startet RC 1970 - i was 12 years - with a Graupner "Dandy" than came the "Taxi" and the great "Cirrus". My first low-wing Plane was the Robbe "Puma" in 1980 - its nice to see how young guys like you loves the smell of Nitro and this lovely vintage-Planes. Pozdravljeni - from PilotMax
