The moon from Majora's Mask was a nice touch. Genuinely laughed the first time and got a consistent chuckle seeing it as your spell in the bottom left.
14:56 They also buffed the Axe of Godfrey and made it be affected by the Roar Medallion allowing you to boost the damage of the AoW even more in the lastest update (1.07).
@@DoomWolfOfficial Scarlett Aoenia also got a buff and I use it myself now. Your not stuck inside the cast the entire time AND it leaves its' aoe for abit after you do! Scarlett Aoenia > Rot Breath Btw if you ever use the Crucible Knight stuff again all but the breath incantation got buffed or sped up abit.
For the Morgott fight did you consider using weapons like the Tree Spear, Giant Crusher, and Erdsteel Dagger or were you trying to just use remembrances only?
@@DoomWolfOfficial Speaking of which you know Renala uses the regular Comet spell (although it appears she can insta-cast it fully charged) and I'm surprised you didn't use alot of other spells in Gideons' arsenal, though he's an easy fight so it really didn't matter.
@@DoomWolfOfficial also Morgott’s Cursed blade’s AoW is a two input move. Just press L2 twice, it also comes out pretty fast. With shard of Alexander and fire scorpion charm it does crazy damage.
6:48 side note, I *love* Loretta's Warscythe. It's moveset is so fun, and it's ash of war has great poise for just powering through to get damage in. I wish we more polearms with similar movesets. (Yes I know about the swordspear)
I did enjoy it, I would never have used it prior to a run like this but that's part of why i did it, to try out some weapons I would otherwise never use
I don't know this for sure, but I think greatrunes are lost when you go into a NG+ cycle, right? and you have to get them back from the boss? I might be wrong, tbh I never use great runes lol

Just a precision about Regal Omen Bairn : Not only its pathing is excellent, but it's range is pretty crazy, you can pull the bird from the blood palace farm spot with it, saving you the arrows. You can also use it to have an easier time targeting the Fire Giant's hands on its second phase. It scales with both Int and Fai, Holy dmg modifiers and the Omen set. Now, I'm not saying it's a great item worth creating a build around, but it can be pretty damn useful in certain situations.
You should have done Godrick with dual wielding Axe and Dragon, it would be so much fun. The dragon on offhand actually get priority on its ash of war just like a shield does. So you hit hard with axe and when you have opening you could charge the dragon at his face.

Good Idea and very good take on it. But what about a Predator Run. Assassins Approach and Darkness for the Invisibility, the Raptor Talons as the Wristblades, the Pike as the Combistick and the Jar Cannon as the Shoulder Cannon ;)
There is a very, VERY big difference between fighting bosses in a proper Mirror Match, and only being allowed to use the weapons the boss *drops* against them. If you're fighting as a Ditto, you're fighting a Mirror Match, and so you're allowed to use the Commander's Standard against Niall, because he also uses the Commander's Standard. However, in your off-hand, you also get to use his Prosthetic Leg.

Yeah, I mean if you couldn't be knocked out of it or parried it might be a touch too strong, but it's definitely a case of the boss version being way cooler haha
Did you forget Morgotts sword has a follow up on the ash of war, or was that just not recorded? Maybe that’s why you were underwhelmed with it. It’s actually a true combo against player sized enemies
More like it's because it requires extensive arcane investment for the bleed to be comparable to other weapons. And same goes to the Dex scaling. Honestly this run would've been better if someone realized one could just take as many larval tears as possible and respec every major boss. There's enough of them for that in a single playthrough, let alone 3.

I remember in ds2 cheaters had an armour/ weapon matching ditto like feature. They would invade you, visually cycle through all kinds of armours until they matched you and used the same weapons and armour.
Some tips for your list. You could definitely fit in staring into the abyss, solving world hunger (and telling no one), and wrestling with self loathing between Dinner with Self and Sponsorship.
I find that Waterfowl Dance is extremely useful against low poise enemies. But the thing that makes me love this ash of war is that you can use it to enter a room if you fear that an imp or something else will attack you by surprise.
Had a thought of a challenge run this morning. Melina says "May I turn your runes into strength" when you level with her so...what if we made that literal? A run where you're free to use whatever weapons/armor/spells/etc. that you want, BUT you can *only level up strength*. Armor or talismans that boost other stats are allowed, just as long as you exclusively level up strength using your runes. Would be really interesting to see how that would effect things like starting class for what minimum stat requirements they can hit, and what you choose for your loadout under this rule since stuff like the +5 talismans, some of the armor, and Godrick's great rune do allow for some flexibility

Honestly I find whips quite fun. Giant’s Red Braid in particular is quite neat. Just not for the fire resistant boss 😂 I also love Mogh’s Spear. One of my favorite weapons.
Whips weren't that bad, just underwhelming compared to other options haha really? I didn't like Mogh's spear much, but I think that's because I don't like the moveset haha
Morgotts cursed sword is on of the best weapons in the game. The fire giant incantation is also really good for pvp, and the fire giant whip is pretty good. Mohgs spear is really good.
Maybe my issue with the cursed sword was jsut that it was NG+4 so it didn't feel that string. I don't PvP so I don't know about burn o flame The whip is good _for a whip_ I feel haha And the spear...really? Idk my friend I didn't enjoy it myself haha
@@DoomWolfOfficial you need the right build. Morgotts cursed sword does 700 damage and applies bleed in a few hits, and the ash of war is insane cause of its poise damage and deceiving looks. The whip is really good cause if it’s nice range and good damage but is not very good against shields. The spear does insane damage and it’s ash of war applies bleed really fast.
Wing of Astel would have helped with you forgetting Bastard Stars, and you could have also used the Clawmark Seal + beast sorceries for phase 1 Maliketh
Pretty dope videos. The title makes it more entertaining to watch because like with the “easy mode” ds1 video I probably wouldn’t have clicked if it was just “sorcery only build” keep it up bro
hey doom if you want to use the grafted dragon, (which is probably top 3 remembrance weapons), all you need to know, is POISE DAMAGE. looking at the stamina consumption, you can spam fairly fast charged heavies to stance break most bosses in like 5 hits
It's been a while since I did this run but I don't recall summoning anything? Also looking at the time stamp it's...referencing the damage? I was in NG+4 lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial I might have to redo my fight against Radahn because I did summon most of them. I've only beat him once during a solo all rememberances run and his moveset gave me a bit of trouble.
The grafted dragon is made to be an off hand weapon as it overrides the ash of war of your main hand so you the ash of war and and the quick left hand jabs from it while being able to use a one hand move set of any weapon in in your right
I guess that makes sense, but i feel like that would actually just drive it's utility way down? like, it doesn't have the full fist weapon moveset, and it's regulated to only being in your left. interesting
Godfrey's ash of war should instantly stun all enemies with the roar at the beginning to stop them from attacking if you use it at the right time, and then when you do the stomp, you get mad poise so that it's harder to get knocked out of the attack. It would still be bad against bosses but that doesn't matter
For my first playthrough I hated heavy rolling so much that I leveled endurance to the point that I could medium roll in Malekiths armor and other heavy armors. Played it with the godskin greatsword. Fun, but probably a bit... wrong
As someone who has only ever fought the mimic tear fists only, I can only recommend it if you have an hour to kill and are in a voice call with friends
I tried it (bearing in mind I have only ever played the game casually aside from mimic tear) and I gave up at margit as I managed to survive 15 minutes against them but only did about 10 percent of their health when i ran out of heals despite maxing them out for what I had access to and using them very sparingly
Hand of Malenia is actually really good if you buff it with Millicent's Prosthesis, Winged/ Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and various dex/successive attack-based Physik Tears

fun fact , the dragon hand is made to be used left hand. Because when you use another fist weapon on the right side you can still use the dragon grafted hash of war and you can still powerstance both. Idk why EVERYONE try to use it on the right hand but it's not meant for that , read the weapon it's written on it ^^ . I did a fist run with it on the left side and it's amazing , let you have a buf hash of war on the right hand and a combat hash of war once you equip the dragon head.
cool! i used it a bit in my rip and tear run, still didn't find it useful lol I mean the ash of war _can_ hit pretty hard if the thing stays in it, but I think other fist weapons serve the damage better myself

Godrick’s axe is actually fairly useful in pvp, as you can *really* delay the final hit of the weapon art, catching a lot of people off guard

When Mogh swings the spear it magically jumps from holding it in the middle to the end, that's why he gets range and you dont

Honestly I find whips quite fun. Giant’s Red Braid in particular is quite neat. Just not for the fire resistant boss 😂

Morgotts cursed sword is on of the best weapons in the game. The fire giant incantation is also really good for pvp, and the fire giant whip is pretty good. Mohgs spear is really good.
Maybe my issue with the cursed sword was jsut that it was NG+4 so it didn't feel that string.
I don't PvP so I don't know about burn o flame

@@DoomWolfOfficial you need the right build. Morgotts cursed sword does 700 damage and applies bleed in a few hits, and the ash of war is insane cause of its poise damage and deceiving looks. The whip is really good cause if it’s nice range and good damage but is not very good against shields. The spear does insane damage and it’s ash of war applies bleed really fast.

Margotts cursed sword is crazy with appropriate arcane. Power stance with bleed omen killer sword and you shred any boss who can take bleed.
I bet! by itself it was...just mid for me haha but with the right stats, talismans, and buffs I bet it can be great!

a very useful thing for procing bleed on great spears is the running r2. It has several weak hits, each of which add bleed buildup.
That's true, many hits in a small time ate key to procing things lol
hey doom if you want to use the grafted dragon, (which is probably top 3 remembrance weapons), all you need to know, is POISE DAMAGE. looking at the stamina consumption, you can spam fairly fast charged heavies to stance break most bosses in like 5 hits

You get the gimmick spear for Rykard in NG by doing the volcano manor quests and talking to a ghost.
You don't even need to do that, the spears just in the boss room regardless of how you get there

The grafted dragon is made to be an off hand weapon as it overrides the ash of war of your main hand so you the ash of war and and the quick left hand jabs from it while being able to use a one hand move set of any weapon in in your right
I guess that makes sense, but i feel like that would actually just drive it's utility way down? like, it doesn't have the full fist weapon moveset, and it's regulated to only being in your left. interesting

The actual debuff of the winged greathorn lasts a lot longer than 10 seconds. The cloud that inflicts the debuff is what only lasts 10 seconds

Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker is the best Ash of War to deal with BHS and Ashes of War spammers. It has a long build-up but it's definitely not bad.

Godfrey's ash of war should instantly stun all enemies with the roar at the beginning to stop them from attacking if you use it at the right time, and then when you do the stomp, you get mad poise so that it's harder to get knocked out of the attack. It would still be bad against bosses but that doesn't matter

For my first playthrough I hated heavy rolling so much that I leveled endurance to the point that I could medium roll in Malekiths armor and other heavy armors. Played it with the godskin greatsword. Fun, but probably a bit... wrong

As someone who has only ever fought the mimic tear fists only, I can only recommend it if you have an hour to kill and are in a voice call with friends
This does not give me hope for the fist only run lol
I tried it (bearing in mind I have only ever played the game casually aside from mimic tear) and I gave up at margit as I managed to survive 15 minutes against them but only did about 10 percent of their health when i ran out of heals despite maxing them out for what I had access to and using them very sparingly

Hand of Malenia is actually really good if you buff it with Millicent's Prosthesis, Winged/ Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, and various dex/successive attack-based Physik Tears
Oh 100%, I don't recall what I did in this run but there have been a couple where I stack them for absolutely cracked damage

fun fact , the dragon hand is made to be used left hand. Because when you use another fist weapon on the right side you can still use the dragon grafted hash of war and you can still powerstance both. Idk why EVERYONE try to use it on the right hand but it's not meant for that , read the weapon it's written on it ^^ . I did a fist run with it on the left side and it's amazing , let you have a buf hash of war on the right hand and a combat hash of war once you equip the dragon head.
