Hello my TH-cam family. In this video, I am making another Kuih Nyonya. Its a well known tea time snack in Malaysia which we call Kuih Seri Muka (translated as pretty face cake). Also known as Steamed Glutinous Rice with Pandan Custard.
    MAIN INGREDIENTS
    🤍For bottom layer:
    2 cup glutinous rice
1 3/4 cup thin coconut milk
    1 tsp fine salt
1 tsp oil (to grease the pan)
    💚For top custard layer:
2 cups coconut milk (can use packet milk)
    3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup pandan juice (mixed with green paste)
    1drop green food colouring (optional)
    3/4 cup all purpose flour
    3 tbsp corn flour
    1/2tsp fine salt
    Steaming Tips:
    ■ Steam glutinous rice base for 25mins over medium heat
    ■ Steam Kuih Seri Muka for 45mins over medium heat

The lime green is from the pandan leaf juice and pandan paste used for the top layer. Glad you like it.😄

The white & green combination is soothing to the eyes. The aroma of pandan juice while steaming makes the whole kitchen smell good
