I was super emotional this era. Comparing their debut to now, they've comes far and I'm so freaking proud
"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable!
My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity).
SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace.
There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...)
The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal.
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy!
I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
This is my new favorite song by them. They never disappoint.
I love BONVOYAGE. Lyrically it feels like the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives:
1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses)
2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus)
3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤
Alternatively in the climate apocalypse context: Nature is dying, humanity is at a crossroad. If we make the right changes and choices now, and make sure we stick to them and never give up, then in the future humanity can become one with nature and look back at ourselves with pride and love.
I can also highly recommend the album, it is my favorite album from Dreamcatcher so far. ❤
LEEZ left, he signed exclusive contract with another company 😢. So he didn't work on DC or Ateez this recent comeback

Dreamcatcher was the first kpop concert I ever went to. They are also the first kpop group I saw twice
I want this song as an anime opening or ending song. It’s just too powerful.
But you can't have Number Three without Number One and Number Two in front of it. All of these in the Apocalypse trilogy deserve that treatment, all are worthy. :)

LEEZ and Ollounder are no longer a team. Long term songwriting duos always break up because of personal reasons. We'll probably never know those reasons unless someone talks, and people in the Kpop industry rarely ever talk. Ollounder is a rock guy and his style suits Dreamcatcher really well. LEEZ is more of a hip hop guy which shows in all the work he did with Ateez. LEEZ is now Music Director for a new company called Hi-Hat Company. They have a few solo artists and some trainees, but their first group hasn't debuted yet. It's a real gamble for him so I hope it pays off.
It doesn't seem like personal reasons in this case, though, being the music director is basically a job promotion for Leez. I can't really blame him for wanting to move up to a bigger role, even though I hate to see him go. He'll always be an integral part to me of what makes Dreamcatcher who they are today.
Leez signed an exclusive contract with someone else, though I can't remember the details. T_T

He's a Musical Director at a new company called Hi-Hat.
DC actually have done some anime stuff...fans repeatedly said that is what they sound like, everybody hears it and knows the possibility. There are three different things to look for and two of them are Japanese Releases.
First for the Korean language, DreamCatcher did a song for the Kings Raid video game, their song called 'Deja Vu'. That song did so well all the way around for everybody involved that the group was invited back at a later time for an Anime Opening. That song is called 'Eclipse'. It is for the animated series, Kings Raid, made after the video game.
Another Japanese release that I think you will want to check out is called 'No More'. It is not too much of a video to speak of, just some moving pictures that keep recycling while a Metal song plays.
That's not all of their Japanese Metal stuff, either. But I will just leave it for now. I am sure somebody else will tell you all about all of their Japanese Language songs. :)
