Thanks for doing the review. That's my favorite color of the Softails. BTW, that faux cap is a throwback to the traditional Low Rider look. The left cap used to be the fuel gauge. I agree I think the faux cap is a bit silly, but it would look odd for a Low Rider to not have it there.
Those footpegs are not really FULL "forward" because you can buy an optional kit to make actual "forward controls". I'm short and I have a bad back which won't allow me to use "forwards" controls without inducing extreme agony for weeks afterwards. These in-between mid-control and forward control positions are actually quite nice for me. I don't own one .... yet. I'm currently riding a Sportster with mid-controls which I love.
The riding position was quite comfortable on this bike. I can see how full forward controls could be back pain inducing! Happy to hear you're enjoying the Sportster :)
That is the best Harley I ever owned.

Thanks for watching Brad! It really is a beautiful bike. Great info on the faux cap. I appreciate you taking the time to share!
I would guess that key is for the fork lock.
That would be correct.

I wonder if you can have true mid-controls on the Low Rider.
You can’t us the key at all to start it from what I’ve been told by Harley it’s for the front fork lock
