I'm so excited for this series! I'm disabled so unable to travel and I've just started researching Irish side of my ancestors and wanting to work with the religions they practiced xx
Ireland is one of the most accessible countries in the world and caters to most disabilities. Wheelchair Access to almost all public buildings and tourist attractions.

Also in one of your shots when you were driving, you passed by the house that was never lived in the story I was told as a kid was the house was built but it was built on a fairy way and the owners only ever lived in it for one night, it’s only about a mile or two from where you were when you went down in the cave
Thanks for the video Jacob!! So much rich folklore and history of Ireland. I could use some help with the myths at Louh Derg…involving giant lake monsters and a hero named Conan.
Thank you for reminding me about the Newgrange. I’ll be going to Ireland this weekend and I would have been extremely disappointed in myself if I didn’t go see it
You will not be disappointed, if you can make it to Tara, Loughcrew,Carrowmore, we have loads to see& down south dromebeg a small stone circle & so much more!
That was great! I'm really excited to see the next episodes. I follow Candlelit Tales, and they were the story tellers at the Bealtaine festival, I hope you were able to record some of their performance. Man, I've just got to get to Ireland someday!
Really amazing shots with the drone! It was really neat that you guys went into Oweynagat Cave. The energy in there must have been strong. I would love to do a Samhain ritual there! Really awesome video, I'm looking forward to seeing more!
Yay! I am excited for this series :) It is great to see Kevin and you working together for this project. Part of my Ancestry is Irish, and like Kevin, there are Gaelic Gods that I venerate along side the Norse Gods. The ties to the land that you see with the Mythos IS incredible. It's a nod towards the ancient tie of indigenous peoples to their land. You see that with Native Americans, Indigenous Australians, the Sami in Northern Finland, Sweden and Norway, the peoples of Northern Russia, and many places where people occupied a land for hundreds of generations. It was cool to see the cave so thank you for taking us around. I wouldn't be able to step into that...tight closed in places freak me out. Great video! Can't wait to see the next! 💜
I just visited Ireland 2 months ago and had a great time. I wish I had known about this cave! Although, it's a bit far north from where we passed through. I did see New Grange, Knowth, and the Hill of Tara, though. I would definitely go back, but I do need to see Scotland (it's my #1 place I want to see and was bummed we couldn't make it 2 months ago).
In upstate New York State a tree that was scarred to the Native Americans was cut down by people who purchased the property. The family had bad luck. The husband died in a train accident. The children all died. The widow turned the place over to the State. It is now a place where writers go to write their novels and stories; a writers retreat. The place is called Yaddo.
Anyone else having volume issues? Most other videos here on TH-cam I have at 20% volume on my device, but his I always have to turn his up to 90%. Is it just me? It certainly causes me to skip videos when I'm watching/listening to things at work, especially if there are ads.
Sorry this happens for you! Not sure what it is. I have tried a few things over the years but there always seems to be some people who have audio issues. On apple devices (which is what I edit on) I have my volume at 40% and that's what I edit my audio to rest at. Not sure what the solution is :(
@@TheWisdomOfOdin Wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't consistent with your channel specifically and across multiple videos on multiple devices in case there was some issue you weren't aware of. Hi Jacob, fun episode. Planning a trip to the cave later this year, hopefully I will get a a bit further in than you guys, but I understand your trepidation...😅 It's normally pretty muddy on down so my advice to your viewers is wear wellies and an overall . Tuatha De Danann is a tricky one alright ... phonetically it's pronounced Tooha De Danan. Enjoying the series so far.
High kings ere not occasionally elected it was a continuous position going back centuries, some high kings had more power than others but the position went back centuries becaus there was tribute involved so they were many takers.
We can hold both perspectives: The Pagan acknowledging nature and our place in it. The Christian which is about Consciousness (Christ or Universal Consciousness) and our participation in it. Life is not either/or; it is and/both. So let us celebrate the Goddess and the God; Both.
@@TheWisdomOfOdin The Irish are social drinkers and can handle their drink and love discussion and debate with a few drinks. I have never seen it lead to violence unless we're talking about about the invasion by another country😀. Here in the US is where I see a lot of people (not all) that cannot socialize and drink at the same time, When you go to the bar there you will find lots of people that have knowledgeable intellectual conversations on you'er Topic, especially in the west Connacht ( ask someone to help pronounce it when there🤣) When I was young growing up there a lot of the old timers had great handed down stories some of them lost to time I wish I had had more interest back then and could remember half of them. Have fun enjoy your trip. If YOU can't handle your drink stay out of the bars🤣Back in the day I would have told you to go to the small bars out in the rural country areas and find old timers to talk to but both are hard to find, if there is any left.

I was in this Cave yesterday, it is incredibly peaceful inside...
probably because all the demons are above ground these days!
Honestly even with the demons it's gonna be more peaceful than being around human souls, Those things are sent from hell to torment fr.
it's lovely that you leave offerings at the sites you visit, especially a gate to hel. it really helps expose the spiritual in natural places.
Always makes the memories last longer too!

The auto correct is a menace. I had written ‘sacred to Native Americans’ not ‘scarred to Native Americans.’ Again: sacred to Native Americans.
