@@thalmoragent9344 Fa-Nuit-Hen is a deadra demiprince and leader of the Barons Who Move Like This. In the First Lesson, he taught Vivec his martial skills.

Like your vids, but this one is probably the first I watch that was kind of a miss. There are a lot of discussions on reddit about the sermons, I feel this analysis could be a bit deeper in some parts. 2 things to point out: 1) There aren't 2 contradictory accounts of how Sotha Sil and Vivec met. The sermons are in fact an actual (albeit poetic) depiction of the origin of the divine vehk that came to be when the tribunal used the heart to become gods and the dragon broke. In a sense both of these things happened, in a non-linear way, the same way this happens with mannimarco. 2) The last part isn't just portraying vivec's duality vaguely. Kirkbride used a lot of Crowley in the sermons, and many of these wordings are lifted word for word. Love under Will specifically is discussed heavily in many texts. You could easily talk or at least reference this along with "loveletter from the fifth era" to give some context. Even the trial of vivec references the notion of love under will as vivec acting on the path of his destiny and his role in the creation of amaranth.

Homunculi were not as you described. They were alchemically created and homunculus translates as Small Man or Little Man In a Flask
What you called Homunculi would of been Animunculi or an animunculus

vivec was closest to being a real god, given that he had achieved CHIM
Sotha Sil:
"Vivec knows the boundaries that separate fact from fiction. He knows them so well that's he's learned how to break them. He exists inside his verse, but recognizes the lies. The contradictions.He both does, and does not believe his own tales."
It makes one wonder what parts of Vivec's stories are true, what parts are lies, and what parts have been turned from lies to truth through his use of divinity.
I believe that all these contradictions and seeming lies are simultaneously truth and fiction. Vivec both did and didn't help murder Nerevar. His two-sided nature and his divinity allows this. He is both the friend to Nerevar who watched him die at Red Mountain, and the traitor who murdered him. While before his ascension only one may have been true, afterwards all realities became truth.
@@stveloth694 I think most of his story is just bull $***. For example, the tale of him being a divine egg sounds like a cover-up of him being an orphan or his father being incredibly ordinary.

@@alyxxpratt678 Time wasted on boring build videos or ES VI wishlists is time that would have been better spent exploring the lore. I haven't finished a single Fudge video since Drew left.

Drew, my Friend, thank you. As many times as I've read the 36 Lessons, I have to admit, I have never understood them. This helps. I don't consider myself an idiot, but these Lessons have found me seriously wanting. Thank you, kind Sir for taking the time to explain them! I will wait patiently for the remaining 35 Lessons.

@@TheRealMycanthrope comes from the word "flesh" in Greek, and is a reference to Vivvek being a living god, and is a play on the term "Flesh Divinities" which is occasionally used in TES lore to refer to the bodies of gods, particularly Lorkhan's.

It's like when you take a bath too long and your fingers get all wrinkly but with milk.
I assumed that homunculi was referring to Factotums.
Some define homunculi as artificial humans created outside of traditional biological procreation. To me this sounds like the Clockwork God's Factotums - mechanical constructs created in the shape of men/mer. Therefore, Sotha Sil used the Factotums as a force to rescue Vevic's mother from the underwater creatures.
The term homunculi actually initially referred to semen, and specifically sperm though it wasn’t known at the time how it worked so sperm were likely inseparable from semen.
It was believed that the ‘humonculi’, or the little humans, were planted within a woman to grow.
I hope a certain Promiscuous Argonian Lady makes an appearance somewhere down the road in this series. Make it happen Drew!

This is the best video I’ve seen trying to decipher the enigma that is Vivec! I loved the part about the secret number and infinite possibilities, I think your take on it was spot on. Duality is the coolest aspect of his character.

As much as I love the FudgeMuppet-style ambient footage as a visual filler for your narration, this kind of analysis would ~really~ benefit from a bit of text on the screen as you're reading, especially in the latter section when you annnotate & explain. I have a slight idea about what’s going on but it’s hard to focus and even read them because I to can feel the sanity leaking out of my brain every time I go live. thank you so much for this! I've always been a bit of a lore nerd but the 36 lessons have honestly been something I'd intentionally avoid because upon initial readings it almost seemed like all gibberish to me frankly lol. Getting some thoughts and explanations helps big time!

I’m glad you’ve finally started this series and good luck! Lots of content to get through, but at least it’s a good outline and plan to commit to for 35+ videos. Honestly never looked into this before but it’s fascinating that ESO actually used the demiprince and the barons from this sermon in the Maelstrom arena. Definitely thought that kind of stuff was just made up 😂
