RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) offers a comprehensive suite of exams targeted at experienced healthcare professionals. The test is designed to reflect the nature of the syllabus and knowledge required for a pre-registration programme in the Republic of Ireland as per the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) standards and requirements.
The test addresses the NMBI domains of competency for the pre-registration programme in an attempt to ensure patient safety and public protection. You need an NMBI registration to work in Ireland.
RCSI and NMBI jointly conduct the exams for the foreign-studied and registered nurses to check eligibility and competency.
