  • I am not a concrete worker, but I will walk you through how I installed the foundation on my Green House. Concrete work is an art and I have mad respect for people in that industry. I have always struggled to do good concrete work. Foundations I will take on as a project, but I will not touch flatwork.
Hopefully, this video will help you with your job, or if you like to see people working their butts off in hyper-lapse time you will enjoy this video.

Great! I almost didn't even post this because I didn't know if it fit with my channel. Glad someone got something from it.

@@BabblinginmyBackyard Yes. This video is very helpful. But I'm wondering if I could use red cinders instead of gravel? Or is that something I would have to research. What I know is, red cinders are more porous than gravel so it might absorb more moisture...

I commend you for doing this without power equipment/ tools. Thanks for sharing... I'm just gathering info for future projects!

Hi. Great video! What is the vertical level tool you are using to check the level of the gravel around 3:35? Is that some kind of laser level?

I’m looking to do a foundation like this for a 10x20 greenhouse. How’s that held up over two years?

I am curiouse about putting a greenhouse in a shady area. I suspect you have your reasons but I'd love to hear more. Perhaps it's a space issue and that area gets sun at other times. It's ben a year. Is there an update video? I would like to see the greenhouse. Nice job on the video!

It's not in the shade I cut the trees down after I put in the foundation. This spot in the yard was unused and is south facing. It has worked out great for a location. Here is the build video for the Greenhouse. th-cam.com/video/I-QkCVtTTkI/w-d-xo.html

Thicker wood for the forms so they don't bow. Other than that.. coming from a non pro.. looks pretty good

I would drill holes in wood before putting screws in: stops wood splitting.

That would have prevented that for sure. I would follow that practice if I was doing any wood working, not sure why I didn't bother in this case. Sometimes a little prep work can go a long ways for results.
