Olds had a very distinct engine sound that was so classy. I know because that’s all my folks bought. And later Cadillacs.

I have the 2 door fastback coupe, and spare parts - I did swap the front clock with a tiffany branded one from 1972 - but they generally keep ticking

Bill this one brings back memories. I’m 56 now and back in the early 80s I bought a 73 Delta 88 Royale Coupe. It was my first car. Horrible metallic pea soup green but it had a black interior. I saved up money and had it painted a metallic blue similar to Corvette Marina blue. She looked and drive great and was a superb driving car. Handled nice for a big car too. Believe it or not I scouted the junk yards and got front regulators out of a Coupe DeVille and rear regulators out of a 70s Toronado and made all four windows electric ! Hardest part was making a wiring harness but I did all this at 16 years old !!! I rode my bicycle to the junk yards to pick up the parts little by little as I didn’t have my license until 17. Good memories!!!!! Thanks. The front clip aside from the grille inserts is the same just about! Awesome car

It looked awesome. Has Western turbine rims on it 60s in rear on 9” rim 70s from on stock width. What I didn’t mention was I put in a 67 olds 425 4V in its place and yanked out the malaise 350 2V. Damn did that car move out!!!

Yea you definitely should! It gives insight as to WHY the 73 on cars had battering ram bumpers and what other features offered “protection” to the car in a fairly minor crash. When I first discovered this feature I thought sometime was loose or broken but quickly realized why it did that “oh cool “ came to mind lol

Beautiful car, I was born in 89, It would have been cool to be alive during the 70s, people seemed to have more fun in those days. Serial killers were rampant, but their still bad nowadays. I'm in the process of restoring a 77 Coupe Deville. Unfortunatly, It's not easy finding good parts. I would buy new parts if there were a way to do so. From the few classic car websites I've run into, the 77 seems unloved. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
