    ISTJs are a real pleasure to be around :-) They seem to have an air of resilience and calmness about them. I really admire that fact that they can relate whatever it is they have going on to past experiences really quickly. Si seems like a superpower to me, who is someone that doesn't use it at all. The combination of Si and Te screams integrity and getting results, which is what makes ISTJs so pragmatic and also ethical. All the IxxJs are cool but I have a particular sweet spot for ISTJs because once you crack that exterior and become deserving of their trust, they are the sweetest most loyal human beings ever. Plus their dry sense of humour is really entertaining. BIG FAN!

      I love the ISTJ sense of humor. My son is ISTJ. He was eating an apple and his dad walked in. My son said to his dad, "Appetizer?" Whenever I go too far barking orders and being too rouf and impatient, my son says back to me what I'm saying , not mocking, but really meaning what he is saying. That shows me to chill out.

    This was SO FUN to watch! Those obvious responses from Mark answering questions chosen to suss out the J over P, Si over Se, etc. got such smiles from Joyce and Anne! I love these typing videos. Mark was like, "I hope that answered your question" and they were like "Oh yeah!" nodding and smiling really big. LOL "What is your relationship with efficiency." :-) He reminds me so much of my colleague who's also an ISTJ.

    Almost scary how similar us INFPs and ISTJs are internally. At least I related to him a lot.

    • @dextinited.6277
      @dextinited.6277 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Really? I am rather certain that I'm an INFP (or otherwise ISFP). He seems like the complete opposite of me. Like someone who embodies my weaknesses. Who takes pleasure in doing the things I hate. I can't believe that someone like that really exists. I have difficulties relating to him.

    • @cowfromtown
      @cowfromtown 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@dextinited.6277 I related to him saying that people can't really read his emotions unless he says something, or how he doesn't like taking other people's problems on but people feel free to share with him because he essentially presents as non-biased. Also, I related to him saying that he naturally is in reflection mode, looking at past situations and ruminating on how they could have been done different. I do that, just a little differently. I will dissect past situations and end up finding interesting connections, and then come up with theoretical game plans for how I would go about them in a better way in the future if they were to happen again. I also related to what he said about only really planning for the near future. I like to take things one step at a time, and I know that even when I adopt a long term "trajectory" mindset (I feel like I adopt a new one every day haha. It keeps me focused and excited for the future, rather than scared of taking any steps forward at all), I naturally will veer off from it as time goes by. I just tend to know what general directions I would be okay with going in (and even that changes). Finally, I really related to how he said he can feel his emotions and knows what they feel like, but not necessarily the word for them. The only difference is I think I dissect and analyze my emotions so that I can put a word, or at least metaphor to it.
      Certain things, for example, his enjoyment of work really made my jaw drop HAHA. I only have some days (like 1to 4 out of 7 in the week) where I wake up excited to tackle the day. To create a list of what needs to be done and knock them off (and I've learned to be way more realistic with how much I can get done in a day on these days where I feel like doing EVERYTHING). I've grown to find that feeling of knocking things off an overwhelming list rewarding. It's almost like playing the sims, only thing is I am the sim haha. I admire the way that he talks about his work ethic, it's very aspirational for me. Although, what he said about having to fix other people's problems at work seems like something that would make me wanna quit to be honest.
      I am an enneagram 6w7 so maybe that is what makes me resonate with lots of his personality.

      @@cowfromtown I see. The way you describe it, I can understand it well. Maybe I focused to much on the differencies and his actions.

      @@cowfromtown Yes, but unfortunately I'm too moody to get it done as well as the Sims. Haha. I'm a 4 (not sure if 4w3 or 4w5), so your work ethic is probably better than mine. I see Mark as more of a growth for me. I better be that disciplined, but I'm not....

    If only I didn't see him in your other videos, I would have loved to blindly guess his type as an ISTJ!
    But I still watched the video, and he clearly shows many stereotypical traits of the Si-Te ISTJ qualities. Enjoyed these series Joyce, will go search for more typing videos like this and make more guesses and improve my typing skills. I had a blast! 🤗🤗🤗

    I apologize in advance if I come off as rude in this comment. It's not my intention.
    This video is basically "A free typing session" for me, because just about every question you asked Mark, I answered similarly in my head, apart from being a bit slower to grasp the metaphorical speech and the career choices, so I think that clinches it for me being ISTJ. There was confusion that I might be ENFP due to me being animated on camera and liking to tell jokes, but that's just being outgoing, not extroversion.
    So, thanks for helping my budget!

    Around 1:10:00 - so interesting!! I completely relate to what both Fi/Te users said! Didn’t imagine that difference (of not minding) might be attributed to Fe/Ti! Do you think that is a general feeling for Fe/Ti users (and so maybe the people who do talk about others that way use Fe/Ti and truly don’t think others would mind [under normal/seemingly-caring circumstances; I don’t mean malicious situations])?
    I love this style video, Joyce! It’s really helpful (especially with someone who can so clearly/decisively provide answers about themselves... how is that even possible?!) 👌

    Awesome idea: from your community arrange video calls with 4 people with the same type (16x) and create a social experiment where they either dont know what the goal is, or to give them 1 assignment. Upload the calls on TH-cam for people to get an idea of what the types together look like and how they behave.
    Guess what type i am xD.

    This was surprisingly insightful Joyce, I learned that social paranoia or deciphering motives is a combination of Fi and Nx
    EDIT: btw, if Fi users (top or bottom) want to protect feelings-based info, then what do Fe users want to protect? Ti I guess, but I don't even know what that would look like lol

    • @PowerRedBullTypology
      @PowerRedBullTypology 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Maybe because with Te and Fi, the more masculine (tough) is on the outside and the softer feminine side on the inside (Fi) which could make it make sense that the Te wants to protect the Fi, kind of like the though shell of a crab protects the soft interior? With Ti/Fe the soft side (Fe) is on the outside and the harder Ti on the inside (like with mammels - bones inside and soft tissue on top) so the exterior you see with Ti/Fe is the softer part than the inside core.
      So I am not sure if Ti/Fe want to protect something in the same manner as Fi/Te. Maybe the Ti/Fe want to hide their more cold analytical internal nature and present it more user friendly with some feminine Fe on top, to make it more personal.
      My guess is that Fi/Te do not like their "softness" explosed and Ti/Fe do not like their "coldness" exposed?

      @@hanspeter2534 ah good point Hans! I think you are right about that. But then what is it protecting? The Fe?
      Or are both axis types just protecting their own feelings in general and Fi types perecive these feelings as Fi feelings, while they are maybe just feeligns in general? Since with Fe/Ti there should not be an Fi to protect?
