As someone who plays way too much geist and is my single best character, here is my comment on the 'farm isn't a big priority with geist' when you max out her bomb you should start steamrolling every bit of farm you can find, she can easily mid game snowball off of this. one bomb at a lvl 1 camp and leave it auto clears, clear the lvl 2 in seconds, some lifesteal and do lvl 3's. You can easily get 30K+ ahead of everyone in the game in no time
Yep, kind of suprised at putting it off so much when Geist becomes an insane steamrolling farmbot once the you get lvl 3 bomb, silence on drain is nice, but does not matter as much during mid/late when most of your fights are teamfights and silencing one person will usually not win you said teamfight.
He also said she's not good at spit pushing, and while I do agree she doesn't have any escape util, she's one of the best in the game at taking objectives very quickly, as her malice stacks on them too. Definitely feels like a win-more hero, also her ult is not intended to be a good end-game ult, that's the trade-off, as its one of the best ults in the game in the laning phase which is a perfectly acceptable trade-off, not everyones ult should be like Dynamo's in a team fight She's also just super fun which is all that really matters

Ive been going a hybrid Geist build with berserker, intensifying magazine, quicksilver reload and eventually frenzy. Late game you literally can never run out of bullets and with enough stacks from your 3rd ability your bullets will do hundreds of damage each. You can do all of this while still running Leech, Improved Burst, Mystic Slow, Surge of Power, improved boots, healing booster and so on. Can literally 1v11 (if no mo and krill)
If you build around her 3 she feels stong later at least for me. Get some lifesteal and spirit armor to mitigate self-damage and just spam 3 with surge of power and you can straight up take 1/4 enemies health like every 3 secs.
Can you share the build brother? I recently started playing her and I can already see just now that her 3 is strong but I haven't found any build that is based on it yet
Agree about ult, just because it can be good doesn't mean it will, I play her to just harass the shit out of teamfights with maxed nade, shards, and alchemical flask. just forcing them to play the ground is lava. if her ult had just a single meter of extra range it would be so much better, the times ive died trying to use it and they are a tardigrades pubic hair out of reach is annoying but i don't want to drop improved reach on it over the nade.
@@73j1 Warp stone is good if you play around the ult and rely on it, outside of lane I will never deliberately tank damage just to use the ult because of all the damn cc, nukes, or procs that can happen in the time it takes to pull it off, to me it is solely a "no u" button if I get jumped. I'm not dropping the money on a warp stone for an ability I'll use maybe 3 times a match post lane stage. Bottom line, if an ability needs an expensive item to be functional, it's not a good ability.
Agreed, she's an absolute menace. Played her for the first time post update and immediately dropped a 15 kills 18 assists game. You can play her two ways, either as a frontline fighter or as a backline harrasser. You can actually chip away at her health from long range by spamming your abilities, and then sneak up on the enemy and ult. That way enemies will have a harder time seeing the ult coming.
Nice! You can cook some cool builds with her. Can't remember the name of the item but t4 green thwt lets you blink to an enemy and silence them, works out great so you can cut distance and ult em
Her gun is actually one of my favs in the game. A magnum pistol with high velocity bullets + high damage, easy to shoot heads. Just a lil' old lady, prowling the city with her shiny magnum. Rarrr! *cougar-claw (haha)
this worls specially good if you are on a solo lane but can also work on duo. If you just won a really close 1v1 and have ULT don't base. Stick around out of vision and surprise your full health opponent with instault and burst him to death again. Works amazingly most of the time
I use her a lot, and i think shes great. The problem with her is down the line when more people understand the game she'll be a lot more difficult to be good with. Right now since she isn't used a lot and its a lot of newer player, when people see her low health they dive her. Its so easy to bait people when youre low health and do an HP swap with the highest hp tank or person near you. A lot of times ill see a haze jump me and ult,. ill wait a bit hp swap, 2, 1 then shes dead. Down the road people will be smarter and people wont dive her, or be aware of how short range her 4 is and will keep a safe distance. Shes a bully in lane, but i just see her being not as viable once people get better at the game.
5:10 True, but you can get off a kill on one or 2 of the 4 with your ult usually late which I think still has a lot of value. Turning getting caught out into a 1 for 1 trade is cool but not as flashy or mega impactful as some other ultimates. I think her low cooldowns on the 1 & 3 though make her ult fit very well in her kit since if you do manage to get the ult off you're definitely going to be able to pop off a few more big chunky hits before you go down. Neat character!
seems like my kinda hero, usually not the best but still capable if the team isnt feeding. I could imagine haveing a lot of fun testing out builds on lady geist
Gheist is a top notch pick, if you fall a bit behind you can just def and farm the shit out of everything you see until you catch up. Late game you can easily do 30k dmg in the last 10min of the match aswell.

Geist does have an awkward kit, her 1 and 3 are the best artillery mage in the game. Her 2 with some range kind of works, but the low range ult is funky af. Basically I just hold ult until I'm being dove by someone. Still think it should be split into two characters
Every time she ults me as infernus, it doesn't matter because his ricochet with spirit or bullet lifestyle with leach just can't die it feels like w/o stun
@arnlaugr with ricochet, spirit or bullet lifesteal, leach, and other life steal items (including the 1 upgraded), it is hard to out lifesteal an infernus. Even with a knockdown to delay the infernus m1, he can still start enough dots to usually survive. Early lane is different, he is weak early on because it is hard to get lifesteal strong enough for cheap and he has a harder time starting his dots, especially without ricochet.
@@arnlaugr I'm curious, does healbane make geist reduce her own healing? The item says causing spirit damage reduces healing, it doesn't specify enemy, and you're doing spirit damage to yourself.

If you play geist again Mast. I recommend getting echo shard after surperior cooldown. Your farming speed goes way up. Double bomb, or double silence is disgusting.
In my last 10 games or so, I got at least one kill with my ult right after getting it. I presume my MMR isn't the highest, by baiting people to chase when I'm on low HP, only to hide behind corner and ambush them with ult worked for me every time.
Personally ult is just the button i press when im mess up my positioning and get caught, but thats simly cause i play her as AOE poker. Simply sitting bit farther throwing 1,3 with spirit slow.
I feel like the reason her gun feels kind of bad is that the velocity just feels low to me. Shes one of those characters where bullet velocity feels like a very impactful buy for poking people.
geist is the only true mage in the game, you can legit not go gun at all. spirit armor for her own spells including OP's max 1 then 3. 3 stacks dmg like a mofo, 2 stacks escalating exposure which is dmg amp with 3. get burst, cd, spirit etc, like an actual mage.
I think you might indeed have some form of colour blindness. When you said you couldn't tell what health the Walker was, it was perfectly visible in for me. Same thing when you thought you were about to catch a big wave in purple, and it turned out to just be a standard wave. ''It looked huge on the minimap'' lol. Or maybe you've got some scuffed monitor colour settings.
Abilities should deff go 1>3>4>2. 3 does crazy damage and upgraded 1/3 can hold lanes against so many ppl. Also focus farm. With upgraded 1 youre a farm queen. Youre nerfing yourself for a silence you dont really wanna be close enough to use.

yeah items are really important, if a geist with heal bane and kockdown ,shut down a infernus instantly

geist does have the highest damage per bullet in the game. Gun build geist kills people so fast.
Your sleeping on the 3, you throw a couple in a team fight and can half health all 5 of them I always max is second and heal last all super valuable

the "i didnt think that would kill" moments is because the 3 increases dmg by A LOT
try maxing 1 > 3 > 2 > ulty. The 2 is bait, silence is for late game. 3 does so much dmg

Go back and watch how long you hold lane with 1 and 3 and never use 2. You land so much damage. There's no reason that damage couldn't have been more.
