So this is a quick guide in how to use expanding foam, there is loads of expanding insulation foam out there on the market and most insulation that come inside a tin are the same as this so this will cover most bases. Just remember to read the instructions fully before using.

I agree, this should not be blocked, air should be able to freely circulate under the sub floor to avoid rot and use mesh wire to stop rodents and pest making a home under your summer house.

You really don’t want to throw the gloves away. It’s volatile when it’s in its drying state.
Avoid contact with bare skin.

Never apply foam to a damp substrate. Sprayfoam 101.

That may all depend on the product your using, as stated on the soudal website (who manufactures the no nonsense foam)
Application method
Shake the aerosol can for at least 20 seconds.
Open the cover and fold the tube horizontally.
Surface should be free from grease and dust.
Moisten surfaces with a water sprayer prior to application. For non-conventional substrates a preliminary adhesion test is recommended. Fill holes and cavities for 1/3, as the foam will expand. Repeat shaking regularly during application. If you have to work in layers repeat moistening after each layer.
