Jan 11, 2025 Tube throttled my views down to single digits. Four months of building up to standard 100s-1000s of views per vid, collapsed to 1-9 per, with two exceptions. No notice, communication of any sort.

I went to my gmail and settings, and found a button that you can switch on and off with the text - Business personalization.. If you turn it off, does anyone know if it can be the solution if you have the same problem, as the gentleman in this video?

Great video. Learnt a lot. Takeaway being only do half the job at a time. Wait for foam to cure and use cut-offs to fill the other cavities prior to applying a smaller amount to finish the job.

I had just completed a small business course and my intention back then was to promote my new "business". Will cross that bridge when I get to it I guess! I'm working my way towards the 4000 watch hours (already got the 1k subs) and AdSense emailed to make sure my VAT forms were submitted (though I'm not being paid currently and haven't been since Google changed the policies after buying TH-cam). Do you think it's worth querying with them about individual Vs business before I apply when I reach the watch hours? Side note I only ever made 40 Aussie Bucks just before the policies were changed lmao

ALTERNATIVE RESOLUTION We just ran into this issue in the past few days. When signing up for Adsense after being accepted to the partner program, it required me to choose Organization (Business). Everything was set up and going great, until we got close to the first payout threshold. We then got a Verification requirement and our Ads stopped. When attempting to verify, it was asking for business information we simply didn't have. I almost went down the same path of setting up a new account. However, after some research, this is how we handled it: We went down to our county clerks office and paid $18.50 for an Assumed Name Certificate. This allows you to create a "Doing Business As" Business Name and link it to yourself. This can be done as an "Unincorporated Individual", so you don't need to be an LLC or other business entity. We used the certificate for the Business Verification and it was accepted within hours and we have ads rolling once again. In the UK, it sounds like it's called a "Trading As" or "Fictitious Name" registration, so that may be worth looking in to as that was our fast method to fixing the issue. Our ads were turned off on Friday, and we had them restored the following Monday. We are now setting up a free business account at our bank so we can accept payment for the Business Name. Hope this helps someone.

I haven't yet reached monetization (watch hours are not easy to come by, ugh), but I will now be looking at my Ad Sense settings to make sure they are okay for when I finally do hit that mark. Thank you for this video :)

Interesting video! I'm not quite at 1000 subs yet but hopefully will be soon, however can you advise on the business or individual setting you mentioned. My channel is related to my business so assume I would have to register it as a business account? Also I am VAT registered.

I got monetized and they flagged a 6 year old video and put me in TH-cam jail. seems every channel I get monetized on, TH-cam has something that stops the money for at least a month or 3

Interesting Story. So we have a problem with adsense and monitisation also, here is another cautionary tale: So I have another channel, with over 170K subscribers and it has been monitised since the November 2021, it took 6 months to reach 1K subs 6.5K watch hours. On Gran Canaria uncovered channel this is a collaboration with my wife and a friend. It took about 15 months to reach 1K subs 13.5K watch hours and was eligible to monitise. I didn't bother to monitse it for a 2-3 months as I wasn't sure if I wanted to, and and then asked my wife if she wanted to monitise the channel. She did, so we set her as the primary owner and got the the channel accepted into the YPP and she created an adsense and attached it to the channel, it was earning money. But after a couple of months the monitisation was suspended because adsense will not accept her ID. She used her UK passport but that was not acceptable as we permanently live and work in Spain and we had registered the channel as Spanish. She then sent her Spanish green residency card but they won't accept it as a valid ID. She spoke several times to online live chat support and they said to send a government issued ID document, but the green residency ID is issued by the Spanish government - and that is what she had already sent. She then did what they told her and sent he UK passport and green Spanish residency together, and they said it wasn't a valid ID. She spoke with adsense support again to ask what the problem is and they told her that her UK passport is OK but it is her Spanish residency that is the problem. So she then said 'well, as you don't believe I am resident in Spain, then I'll change the adsense account to English and use an English bank account instead (she as I still has one though we haven't lived there for eight years). And guess what they said she couldn't change the country to UK because she isn't resident in the UK! The funny thing about all this is when I created my adsense account in 2021 we were already UK citizens with Spanish residency, I used exactly the same documents as my wife is trying to use, but in my name obviously, and I had no problem verifying my adsense account 😵‍💫 Can anyone figure out how to resolve this problem? 🙄

So hundreds of thousands of small businesses are not vat registered as they simply aren't over the vat threshold. If you need to answer honestly that you operate as a business with a business bank account ...they can't force you to register for vat?! They must be able to cope with small ltd companies or sole traders who do not need to register for vat.
