Harry grew up listening to Shania Twain in the car with his mother. He has been very vocal about admiring her for years. In 2013, when he was in One Direction, he did a random tweet “Shania Twain is so good.” She went to one of his concerts in 2017 for his first album and they met for the first time backstage. They have been friends ever since. He covered her “You’re Still the One” with Kacey Musgrave on his 2018 tour. She was his surprise guest for Coachella. What a great surprise it was!
He's a huge fan of Shania, he also a fan of Fleetwood Mac and they met when he went to their concert bringing a cake for Stevie Nicks birthday at the time, they were friends ever since ig. He had a few live collabs with her (he doesn't do any commercial collaborations, at least not that we know off as of now). He also performed once with Fleetwood Mac as a whole. What I like about Harry is that he's not just a talented charismatic artist with good music, which is usually enough for me to follow the artist, he's also a genuinely nice down-to-earth person)) If you content concept allows, you should check some of fan made cimpilations about him, stuff like Harry being a literal Comedian, or King of entertainment the crowd (it's an old stuff tho), or celebrities talking about Harry Styles, that kind of thing. Harry knows half of the industry of all eras, people can't shut up praising him, I don't think there's a single bad word about him from anyone who met him in real life) Except Noel Gallagher who's just a petty man))
They sang 2 songs together. They did a little talk before the other one, "You're Still The One", it was so cute. Harry said that this woman taught him to sing and also that 'men are trash', that he grew up listening to her in his mother's car. He thanked her for all the memories with his mother.
He also is watching, or should I say staring, cuz he's a huge fan and I'm pretty sure it was a big deal for him, he may have been a little starstruck. It didn't affect the their perfromance though, the both sounded amazing)) They did 2 songs together, this one and Still The One, and before that song he made a little speech about how she taught him how to sing and that men are trash 🤣 Btw, he also sang this song with Kacey Musgraves 4 years ago at his first tour, it's such a beautiful performance, you should check it out if you'd like to continue your Harry journey 😍
Both weekends were great and I agree camera productions were a bit weird & wonky (on both shows) weird angles, shadows, cutting important moments like dance duos and the whale in Kiwi 2nd show, a bit irritating but not enough to take the very awesomeness (& shiny) of Harry Styles performances at Coachella 2022
The original video had her in a top hat looking gorgeous, as per usual, with a hand full of "boy toys" playing guitar behind her. It was a reversed "take" on a Robert Plant video where he had a band of beautiful, emotionless, guitar wearing women behind him. It was such a FUN "poke" at it. The video where she's on a country lane I believe was "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?"
Their voice togarher was great. And I love that not like other singers, Harry doesn't change the lyrics of the original song he cover.... Doesn't chang SHE to HE.....
I agree with you on the camera work. I was not a fan. I totally got some shit on Twitter after voicing that though. They also missed some great moments (which we luckily got to see because of fans in the crowd who filmed them, like how he danced with her, while the camera was on Mitch, the guitar player, which, there's nothing wrong with showing him and his amazing skills, it's just an example of things we missed on the livestream because of the camera choices). She's a legend for sure and you can see the appreciation Harry has for her (they also sang Still the one together at Coachella and his little introduction was very sweet). She's definitely still got it! She'll be 57 in August.
Thanks for saying that the camera work was awful!!! I hated it all throughout the whole festival! And no one that I've seen has commented on it! Both weekends with many acts just terrible!!
I now know that the camera frames were not on the live, but probably a problem when they uploaded. Either way, this was great and I enjoyed the music😊
