Thanks for posting. I was on that Fiji one that tried to land at 16.50, 36.20 and 4.34.50 on your video. I was sitting over the right wing (left one coming at your camera). Nice to know it felt as bad as it looked. Amazing pilot to land in those conditions.
Wow.. that is amazing you were on the plane.. So which one felt the worst.. was it the first or second when it actually touched down or the final landing ? Thanks commenting..
I'd say the one where we touched down then pulled up and took off, as I was worried we wouldnt have enough power to go back up. (Only because I'm not a pilot and don't know the limits lol). I was also sitting right on the wing and could see it tilt towards the ground on that one. The one where we actually did land was a pretty hard landing though. The pilot was very good and did an amazing job on each attempt. The weather looked a lot calmer when we came back for that last landing, but it was still terrible and I'm surprised the airport wasn't closed, or at least closed for Jet Engined planes, as like you said in the video, jet plans were stuggling compared to propeller planes. Thanks for responding :-)@@WLGLIVE
Thanks Kurt.. It felt like my best one yet.. It is a strange one with the planes and pilots being the stars but the skill is in capturing that in the best way.. Being part of that with your reactions part of the show.. then getting it into youtube is just such a fascinating mix..
Great stream thanks. I flew into Wellington in this today around 9.30 and flew out at 6.30. Fun times were had in approach coming in and climbing out through about 1000-3000 ft.
How many chances do they get at go arounds? At London Heathrow they only get two chances then they have to divert, Emirates will often go to Birmingham, Manchester or Gatwick. Even saw a Lufthansa return to Munich after the second failed attempt. I was on a flight landing at Gatwick last month and we had a go around, it's amazing the speed they go back up at, far more aggressive than a normal take off.
Hello from Manchester uk
Hi Stanley - nice to see you and thanks for watching
wow , what a great stream Thanks Kevin for bringing the vision to us all :)
Your welcome Brian.. thanks for being part of it.. great comments during the chat..
Lots of fun ~ windiest stream day I've seen, and lots of smooth landings despite the wind 👍
The stars were the planes and skill of the pilots.. but so cool to be able to capture that..

Hi - Fiji had 2 go arounds then diverted and a Air New Zealand diverted on the first go around.. I guess it just depends on the conditions
thanks Kevin for filming me and kiwi flyers landing
my dad shows my family the freaky fiji go around on the 2nd attempt
Fantastic.. pleased I could be part of your family history..
Hello from lower hutt wellington
