My favorite part of Part 6 was Weather and Pucci's backstory. Something about the narration and how it reached Shakespeare levels of tragedy got to me. But I still can't figure out why the detective called the Klan on Weather and not Pucci.

Mediocre Clarinet Player Some people forget Weather Report is mentioned looking “tan” by one of the characters so that would make them attacking him more believable. I guess the colour team must’ve missed that when colouring him (tends to happen commonly in manga) cause they made him pretty white. Pucci probably wasn’t harmed by the KKK because 1. He’s paying them for the job. 2. He’s a priest. 3. They might know his parents/family is white.
But anyway, truth be told, the Puccis are meant to be an Italian family, and Italians have quite a range of skin tones. We don’t even know if their skin tones are portrayed accurate in the colour versions because the colours used don’t always line up with the Mangaka’s intentions (eg. Weather Report not being tan).

He could easily enslave all life on Earth and probably even hunt down all humans until we went extinct if he wanted to, sure, but his abilities don't lend themselves well to widespread destruction. He's only a threat because no one could stop him in a normal fight at the time, not because he has an ability that rapidly destroys all life on Earth.

It is actually a super fitting stand for Jesus to have, since it grants the user the ability to alter the balance of fortune and misfortune in the world, but not improving either.
The implication is that Jesus originally used this ability to take the misfortune of original sin away from humanity by having himself suffer a horrible death on the cross. Somehow the ability remained accessible to someone who could control his full corpse can gain a limited form of this, it isn't the person who has all the corpse parts in them, it is the person who "possesses" it.
Funny Valentines' D4C has a totally crazy interaction with Ticket to Ride because he can basically merge himself with the line between fortune and misfortune and do utterly insane things with it, because of his stand's abilities relating to betweenness and other worlds.

Ethan Dannen I think he isn't really suposed to be black, but Araki paints him black for some reason, or maybe he is dark skinned, but not because of black ancestory but for other causes, he's maybe just tanned, or he's got some rare skin condition, maybe there is some latino genes on the family and he got some? or maybe he indeed is black, and his mother cheated.

I'm with you man. Most of the stands in part 6 were... oof... (Manhattan Transfer, Highway to Hell, Planet Waves, Dragon's Dream etc.)
But my god, I love the main cast. Weather is just interesting, Anasui is interesting, cocky, and passionate, Foo was just fun to watch learn about life, Hermes was great because she was a masculine feminine character, and Jolyne, well... How could you possibly dislike a character who is "Kinda jealous" of snails, because they can have sex with everything!
Jolyne is my favorite jojo tbh. I really identify with her for some reason.

I honestly liked Dragon's Dream and Underworld, but aside from those two none of the non-major character Stands were very interesting. Maybe that one guy who controlled Rods, but he himself wasn't too interesting so his Stand didn't turn out interesting either.

I won't say they are broken more like completely unstoppaple gods. Think about it weather report can litteraly kills all off humanity if he wants to. He can just rip off the ozone layer and terminates all lives on earth and also heavy weather is completely invincible you can't even fight it, you just need to look at it and you're screwed. And then we have pucci's made in heaven which can RESET THE WHOLE UNIVERSE. This is as close as you can get to a universal level stand, it's ability to speed up time is really fucking broken, it can skips days or weeks by speeding up the sun or makes your milk expire in 5 seconds. I don't know why the pucci family get these broken af abilities from the same arrows that gives jolyne the ability to turn her body into strings. It's just unfair to be honest, i know that stands are the physical forms of a person's spirit but come on

Snoi Med no, go look it up, it actually is the Requiem arrow. But yeah, considering the fact that Pucci waited over 20 years to complete DIO’s plans of achieving Heaven and that Weather spent just as long in pursuit of his memory, the Pucci family definitely has very strong resolve.

Idk if you meant to say this, but the whole snail thing with heavy weather isn't just in that person's mind. The mind actually causes the person to actually and 100% start truly becoming a snail. It's not like, an illusion or something. It's kind of like an extremely powerful placebo. Real world physical results occur from fake or perceived effects. It would be similar to hypnotizing someone to believing that an ice cube is actually a burning hot coal and then touching it to their skin. Even though it's just an ice cube and shouldn't do anything, the persons mind believes it so strongly that an actual physical burn ends up occurring.
Just wanted to clear that up since it seemed like you were saying it was subliminal and only made them THINK they were transforming into a snail. On the contrary, their bodies were really and truly turning into a snail. However removing the ability to perceive the stimulus through blindness made pucci immune.
But yeah, it's definitely a confusing ability. It's a subliminal change, so it SHOULD only be in the persons mind like an illusion but it's so strong the body actually starts changing its cells into that of a snail. That's also how people were able to die from this ability rather than just thinking they were a snail but actually just being tricked or hypnotized it was actually occurring to them.
Btw, I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if I missed some part of its ability description. That was just how I interpreted it. If there's concrete evidence saying that it's more of just an illusion please let me know.

Except precision lightning strikes are also in its ability set. Lightning can carry 10 billion joules in a single bolt and a complete storm can unleash power on the scales of nuclear weapons (admittedly over a MUCH longer time and with a less focused center). Josuke's (Kira and Josefumi's) Soft and Wet has more power than the original and is capable of bubbling the adjective, and detonating the reality link between it, I'm pretty sure. Yet Josefumi's by itself can bubble things without removing adjectives.

Xforts, I have to say that the editing from :44 to :58 is my favorite part of the video. The timing between music and Joylne and Weather fighting Pucci in their team up attack was perfect and really fit the epicness of the moment.
Weather’s backstory is one of the two backstories in jojo that actually brought me to tears. The other was Johnny’s.

The extent of Heavy Weather's ability isn't just, as you suggest, to make people act in a strange way. The fact of the matter is that Araki loves bad science. Heavy Weather's subliminal effect is so strong that it actually induces physical change in people; they do actually become snails.
yeah, Jolyne walks through that room with like a thousand snails in there and Pucci is underneath a bunch of snails ... if they were just people acting like snails she would not be able to move through the room and pucci would be crushed under the weight of a hundred people. They do literally turn into snails and the explanation of subliminal messages is just the characters trying to make sense of it i think.... maybe it is just if you see the rainbow you become a snail, if you as a snail touch another person they become a snail as long as they see i suppose ... its his ability as a stand and the explanation is how normal people who aren't scientists would explain it ... normal people love bad science plus also araki loves bad science as well
@@michaelbridges5224 The subliminal effect induces a physical transformation. It isn't that complex. It's pseudoscience, but Stands are like that, so it makes sense in universe even if it's completely absurd.

The way I was introduced to JoJo was by listening to heavy weather, and someone heard Birdman playing and asked the time-worn reference question after finding out the song name. I got dragged back into anime and eventually got caught up with part 8 because of him and weather report's connection. So thanks weather! Very cool

I just finished my week long reading Stone Ocean about 5 minutes ago. It was definitely a Top-Tier series to me. I haven't read Part 7 or 8 yet, but judging from what I've read/watched I'd rate the series as:
DiU > Stone Ocean = VA > BT > SDC > PB

xForts heavy weather can beat golden experience requiem as he makes people subconsciously into snails, he doesn't apply killing intent...? Maybe it could reduce this effect to zero.. but i think its the closest to wining him even without a requiem stand
