    That looks awesome! He did a great job! We just redid our bathroom and my husband built a sliding barn door and even put a little chicken Roost above it and I have a fake chicken and some straw and an Old Barn Lantern up there. Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend!

      Hi Jodi,
      Thank you!🥰 Your bathroom sounds awesome!👍🏻 I would love to see a picture of it. I wish we would’ve had more time to build my parents a barn door. That’s what my mom wants for their bathroom door. You’ll have to watch my parents tiny home tour part 2 later today.🤗

      Hi Carrie,
      Thank you!🥰
      It was done in 2 1/2 days.
      I loved the tile that my mom
      picked out too.👍🏻🤗

    That turned out really nice! Would you mind including a list of the supplies used? Thanks so much for sharing. I hope your Dad is feeling better.

      Thank you!🥰
      The supplies used:
      Waterproofing kerdi-board it’s made in Germany, and can be ordered online or purchased from a tile store.
      The barnwood tile is: natural timber ash from Lowe’s.
      The stone tile is from Home Depot.
      The grout color was purchased from a tile store and it’s - misty gray color. The thin set used was from Lowe’s.
      I hope this list of supplies helps!
      ~ Jessica 😊

      @@frenchfarmhouseflair Did you use a special thin-set like a non-modified? Curious if I have to buy Schluter's thin set or not.

    • @frenchfarmhouseflair
      @frenchfarmhouseflair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it doesn’t have to be that brand. But my husband recommends schluters products. My mom was ordering the materials and she ordered thin set from Lowe’s because they didn’t stock it. I hope that answers your question!😊

    Did you use a sealant? I just remodeled used wood like porcelian and I have a white film possibly due to hard water.. curious if you have same issue or if you used a sealant

    • @frenchfarmhouseflair
      @frenchfarmhouseflair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can seal the grout lines. My parents haven’t had any issues.

    Wow, Jessica, the shower enclosure looks amazing. I’m so impressed. It looks like it was a lot of hard work, but well worth the time.
    TFS! Xoxo 😘 ❤️👍

    How is maintaining the tiles clean? Are they easy to clean? Do they get white with the water?

    • @frenchfarmhouseflair
      @frenchfarmhouseflair  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s very easy low maintenance. No, they haven’t turned white. 😊

    That looks amazing! Do you have shiplap walls outside the shower? Tfs

    • @frenchfarmhouseflair
      @frenchfarmhouseflair  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! It’s not shiplap but it does kinda look like it. It’s reclaimed 1x4 pine wood that my Mr. Hubster gave to my parents. It was wood that my husband used to frame up our diamond shaped concrete driveway. Be sure to watch my parents tiny home tour part 2 today, and you’ll see the same wood on their bathroom walls by sink etc. 👍🏻

    Just curious, how much was the final cost?

    How expensive is that please?

    • @frenchfarmhouseflair
      @frenchfarmhouseflair  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wall tile (barnwood) was about $40. per box (48” long) comes 4 tiles per box. The stone tile (12x12) about $12. per tile.

      @@frenchfarmhouseflair So I'm guessing in the $500-$1000 range for materials?
