How could they let the GT start as normal with the BMW stranded in the middle of the track? Incredibly dangerous and it's rather miraculous that no GT car collected the BMW.
A genuine answer to that question may be that that BMW was making an attempt to get off the track, and looked like it would make it off before the GT field arrived, but didn't quite make it. The driver somehow managed to get it turned around, and pointing towards the gap in the barriers by the time the GT field showed up. Hi IMSA and thanks a lot for the content! I think this year's graphics could be much improved if you dropped the 3 Highest In Class-graphic, instead letting the full field with time-difference show. Shea Adam is really coming around as a pit reporter. Mindful of unconscious socialization bias this 68 year old may have been imbued with, initially I wasn't impressed with her work. Funny how MSR gets caught outside the limits and doesn’t lose their win. But Porsche does. Over 1mm on the skid plate. Lol. They realized porche catching their stride and trying to limit it.
Difference between provisional and official results. The results were official when the MSR car was found outside the rules. The Porsche's win was provisional based on if they passed tech inspection. They didn't, so they lose the win. Same for every team, Porsche just played it too risky
