Rented a couples condo from Road Surfer Los Angeles. The experience was terrible. The manager refused to go through the check out with me. I found out latter that she had given me a defective van and did not initiate the rental on the RoadSurfer web site. Thus when the electric system failed, I could not any help to get problems resolved. The result of the electric problems: when hooked up to shore power, turning on the air-conditioning the system shut down and the control panel went blank. I had to use the emergency restart procedure. Eventually turning on the water pump shut the electric down also. This meant that I could not use the toilet as it requires water to flush into the black tank. Eventually the control panel stopped working. I could not ask for help on the web site nor change the return time because the manager didn't mark the vehicle as checked out. When I returned the vehicle early because none of the house features worked, I was told by the manager that she could not give me a confirmation of return because she had messed up the check out process by giving me a different van than I was scheduled to get and she had not actually told the the RoadSurfer system that I had taken it on the road.
I was refused a written confirmation of return. I am still waiting for RoadSurfer to recognize that I was given a defective van and to get my deposit back.
While the van would have been great if worked, their was no customer service support and simply you signed you pay. The Roadsurfer system is designed so the renter is at fault and service is actually disservice.
So sorry to hear about that bad experience!
Enjoyed this review! My family is considering Roadsurfer this summer (and with the same vehicle you reviewed) but I didn't see many reviews out there. Seems like a great option.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and are looking now on how can we do it for a roadtrip up north in the near future. Highly recommend

Reserved for this summer. Can you tell me how easily the toilets emptied out if needed? (I figure you had to over 7 days)
@@fitandhappyptatl to be honest we didn’t use the toilet. We stayed at KOAs so they had bathrooms. But based on our experience with RVs, this hookup was very similar and easy. Just be sure to understand (and ask questions) the instructions when you pick up the rental. They will walk you through everything!

Yeah we loved the experience, we are actually doing another roadtrip with them this summer in their C Class.

We can’t speak for Europe, but we didn’t need anything other than our US drivers license while driving it in the US

We had no concerns on our first time. Enjoyed the experience so much that we are going on another here this summer with them and their bigger C-class RV
Hi, can I rent it with standar Class D driver license?
Yes we used our standard state issued driver license for both the van and the c class rv (that video coming in a few days)

@@TheAdventureBuddies I book a relocation in Las Vegas this August, All I need to bring is a Standar Class D driver license? I booked a relocation deal liberty Lodge from Roadsurfer and Imoova, but they answer it so confuse, I ask Imoova support team, they told me I don't need any special license, just Class D, but when I ask roadsurfer, they answer is must be class B? But from roadsurfer website, they mention, any vehicle under 26000lbs, can be satisfied by non class B license. I am so confuse now, can you tell me a little bit more about the requirement? thank you so much
