My mechanic fitted a non-standard spark plug in my 200. The thing ran well for sometime but when it had had enough, the piston hit the longer than normal spark plug and both broke, badly..together with one valve. Complete rebuild and replace of piston, valves and cylinder head is what I am looking at now.
I have the same bike. Well a 2018 but aside from aesthetics, still the same mostly. It's electric start. How do I find top dead center on it to adjust my valves

That means ..........with few thing I can transform my 125 in 200, the connecting rod is strong enough? Sir, did u accounter any the valve sleeve seat degree that not match with the valve seat. The place that we grind. I bough the bew head ans fpund out not fit well. The sleeve seat touch the valve tips area not the in middle area at the valve. (The taper area thingy). It cause the leak.
My son has a 2008 dr125 sm and I can't find a workshop manual for it to do the head bolt torque settings or the valve clearences ?? Dealership said to use the older dr125 specs... what would you suggest to torque the head down and reset the valves ? Any help would be great.
I got a dr 125 sj raider 1992 same engine and the valve clearances are 0.003 in and 0.005 of an inch out. In simpler terms 3 thou in and 5 thou out. You shouldn't really need head bolt torque settings just tighten them in opposite order and aslong as they are all tight and roughly even pressure you will be okay. Glad to help Luke

Both valve and the head are new. Wonder if it factory faulty or idk. Both item for dr200.
