This one was pulled out of a barn. Had vacuum some nasty stuff. Rebuilt top end , wiseco big bore kit, cleaned carbs. Tires. Brakes

General look at the area worked on while doing a starter motor replacement on a Kawasaki Eliminator. This is an MSF training bike with about 5000 miles and who knows how many starts. One brush wears out before the other.

Short video of the main components cleaned ready for assembly. Client had $ issues. Would not authorize rings or replacement of other guides out of spec. So, I'll assemble and see what happens?

Superbly helpful. I found that once you know where the unit is, you can get to it even with the roof up and the boot lid (trunk lid) open. This video was a lifesaver! :o)

I believe I'm having a skill issue 🤣 I just bought a honda rebel 2005 and oh my God I can't find neutral for the life of Me, I'm a new rider my small bike before this was 4 gear automatic but was slower than a stock Honda rebel
Hi there what was the symptoms of a bad crank seal
The symptom was that oil starts to drip from a small weep hole in the left hand engine cover. sometimes I find no symptoms and the seal just blows out.
show us how to get the cover off duh
If I have to show you how to take off the cover then maybe you should put the tools down... :) that wasn't the point of the video...

I would have no problem taking a video of the cover removal procedure if you asked nice instead of being insulting to start the conversation. I have two of these that need crank seals... ask nicely is all it takes! Have a great day!
Did you ever figure out how to fix the plunger though? Mine does not stay attached to the rotor machine and comes off every time I open the gas cap.
The problem appears to be the switch at the door. I decided to leave it open and disable the locking mechanism.

Thanks a lot. Down to 30 miles in my tank! I just pulled the little arm with the catch off for now. It doesn't latch, but I'll dig into the reasoning why it failed later. My little plunger seemed to push really hard, don't know if that is normal or not. And I can confirm the roof started to go back down in steps after awhile when I was trying to figure out how to get that carpet fastener back in. Almost like it was the hydraulics bleeding down.
This worked! Although, a pain in the rump, to get to!!
Hi bought one of these on the cheap and having problems getting it into first gear does anyone know what it could be I'm thinking clutch but will the 250cc clutch fit the 125cc version

I recently bought a rebel450 and being a German car mechanic I was worried of what I’d find inside.. there’s slop In the shift lever assembly but was curious what’s behind all the covers.. seems surprisingly simple.. Gotta love a Honda
Do you have a video on how to take the carburetors off?
Very useful video as have similar issue and need to change flap motor. One thing to note is that the flap should go from closed to fully open when you hit the re-circulation button. The cog is not aligned correctly and does not lift the flap to the fully open position.

Legend has it that the spring is still lost in the clutch.
No, it should be dry, if there is fluid the crank seal has blown out!
I gotta get in that left crankcase cover cuz I dropped that starter gear inside, if I pull the cover off will oil spill out?

Just happened to me today on my 07 EOS. I’m wondering if you could walk me through how to put the roof in service mode? I read on a forum that you only have 8 mins and then it will close on its own? I’m a wee bit afraid to do it. Steps on how you do it safely would be appreciated.

You helped me out big time ! , the connecting rod on mine had uncoupled so all i did was fix it back in place and secured it with a zip tie .
Gotta thank you big time for this video. Only because of your very detailed explanation with the video could I fix this and get my fuel door open!!!!! Saved me lots of time, anxiety and possibly $$$. Very, very helpful Thanks so much.

Im assuming my 04 Rebel 250 is stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear. I cant get it into neutral or any other gears. Rides fine, but cant shift. Just bought it used, Also the bike will only start if clutch is held down, then obviously turn off if i let go due to no neutral. i believe the bike was dropped once. Im almost certain its this same issue in this video but havent started work yet. Any ideas?

I don't suppose you have a part number for that solenoid? I have the opposite problem, mine wont lock. I'm gueussing it's the solenoid.

I put it back together factory correct and never had another issue. I also maintain 20 more of these for a riding school and so far no other issues.
