Hi Jimmy, I' ve been following British Politics almost daily like a soap opera since Brexit. So I already noticed many loop holes in the unwritten constitution which now pop up, since the opponent parties fight with teeth and claws.
To my astonishment, the Brexit party and successor were installed as a Ltd.!?
    Where is the democratic background?
An American business man can run for the City? Has he become a British citizen at least ? Free speech allows being present on all media, However, up to which extent? If this guy finances his medial stage by himself, this gives a big advantage from the beginning, and candidates representing the less privileged would hardly get a chance.
Are there not any kind of surveillance councils for the protection of proportional representation in the media?
The difficulty is certainly, whenever a private person goes on Utube. Where are mere private interests involved and where are obvious political ambitions behind? The media, also in internet should be forced to openly show the sources and financial background of such channels. At least to enable people to find out about the backup.

Politics certainly became interesting over the last 5 years to say the least. Setting up a political party costs large sums, even at the early stage of registration and permission approval. You are right, proper financial scrutiny should be a must for all candidates and parties. I’m not sure about the British resident requirement for London mayor, I will have to search for that info.

@@jimmydoesgermany5856 I had a weird idea for some sort of a game. Just trying to get you known to as many people as possible without spending any money. Then let the people confirm, that they now know who you are. Maybe by writing a mail or registering at some website. I wonder if it would be possible to let 100 million people known you in a few months.
