Your video on making drawing salve got me on a binge of looking into useful herbs. That lead me to harvest a bunch of raspberry leaves as I was pruning, it they are useful for menstrual cramps, and I dried about a gallon ziplock of dried leaves for my daughters. And I was able to use plantain for a scratch today, so thanks , your video sent me on a learning journey, and reminded me to actually use the raspberry leaves instead of buying them.

Nice video Dave 👍 ...Very comprehensive approach in structuring the Woodsmans Appothocary. Can see the engineer in you coming out. The opossum approach you apply to gathering resources in nature transcends into your gathering of knowledge. Well done.

Wonderful video. The most informative and inspirational part of this video was the deja vu moment wherein you advised all to "never stop learning". This is a statement my siblings and I heard a million times as we were growing up and even on into adulthood. My father was an adamant advocate of education. As a child of the depression, he only made it to the 6th grade. If you ever talked to him you would never guess this. My father continued his education throughout his life by observation, queries, and hands on learning. He would tell us also, "It is not important to be the smartest person in the room, the important part is to not be the dumbest.". God bless you brother and your family.

One thing I would like to see Dave and through my research, and it is something everyone avoids, is the shelf life of these products. I see the old 18th century folks use to prepare these remedies, salves, tinctures, concoctions etc... in large batches because the majority (collection) is seasonal.

Great Video Dave I am just beginning to delve into the area of apothecary. Oh yea I just ordered my Bush-craft Pack from Duluth pack company. I watched your reviews and wanted to give it a try. They did not have the Pathfinder version in stock and I'm not one that likes to wait. Keep the videos coming I am just beginning to teach myself and your videos help with my research and most of the gear I use is from your website.

Hey Dave, nice idea ! What about adding a list of counter-indications ?
Some plants maybe not suitable for some people with some conditions, allergies or taking some other medicines. Let's not forget that a plant can be poisonous if mixed with some other ingredients, or can be fatal to people having heart condition, for example.
    Safe journey !

Hiya Dave, looked for the book in your store, couldn't find it ... did have a look around the store and i will say it looked great (compared to when i looked at it just as it was new). Especially appreciated the offered choices, most noticeably the items that could be considered 'competition'. To me it says a lot when a store/manufacturer has enough confidence in their own products that they are not afraid to just put the competition right next to it, not only for that, but also for taking the actual customer serious for his/her freedom to make said choice. Also liked the wide price range of products offered, there were quality choices for almost every (if not all) category of products for every budget (well except for maybe a real cheap takedown bow, but that is just me being picky). Really 'Job well done !', i know ít's not you running the shop, so if you can, be so kind to let them know ^^
