Hello everyone! 👋
I hope you all have had a fruitful Advent! Only a few more days 'til Christmas! I love playing this special arrangement by Wilcocks for Christmas because it really adds to the jubilance and glory of the day! I just realized that I've never posted a video of my hymn-playing, which is an important skill for any church organist to know how to do! I hope you enjoy me playing it! 😄

Lovely! Same arrangement I used to use! It's a shame that the organ hasn't quite got the ability to keep up with you - a pipe organ would do it more justice! It just seems to run 'out of breath'!! Then again, I''ve always played pipe organs...

Yes, the Wilcocks arrangement for the second verse is really great!
"hymn-playing, which is an important skill for any church organist to know how to do" I agree - perhaps you could learn to actually provide some space for breathing between verses, it has that horrible catholic feel of rushing from one verse to the next. If people can't breathe then they will not sing.
I agree that providing time to breathe is important, so that's something I've been working on. Thanks for the feedback 😄
Since she is not playing it with any singers, it doesn't really matter if she allows time for breathing here.
