I definitely wouldn't refer to those numbers now; LMP2s I'm 2011 genuinely only had ¾ the power of the original 2017 regs, and still 100 less than with the current exhaust and restrictor that cut them back. Your numbers are probably closer to what a customer LMP1 of the same vintage could pull. As a note, the current output is closer to 560hp due to the changes made to bring performance behind LMH. Original 2017-spec P2s could pull a high 3:26 at Le Mans if they really felt like it. Aside from that, you could probably get some drag from adding the fender holes that were mandatory from 2012-onwards, and a rear gurney for the rear wing and deck lid both. The wing gurney is mandatory on the irl cars anyhow. Though I think the pace is fine, accounting for the abuse of track limits that's genuinely worth seconds here.
I did end up downing the power to the spec engine's 540hp :) good spot, most people wouldn't know this I also didn't know that wing lip was called a gurney :) thanks for letting me know. I also didn't know that they were mandatory :) thanks
And with the weight distribution, and pitch and roll, UI apps you can even get a more detailed view of how much the front and back are each being pushed down by the aerodynamics
Automation has very accurate downforce exporting now (should be within a few kg), but this is a good way to make sure the exporter isn't bugging out :)

I noticed that the left rear side of the car is missing one of the middle wings behind the tire, and also that the engine audio is desynced from the video, where you can hear the car braking before it reaches the corner
the missing wing mistake luckily doesn't make a difference, because mirrored objects don't change total downforce. In beamng the downforce of these cars is also always centred :/ it seems there was also a recording issue that has never happened before... I've been having a lot of bad luck with audio recently :(
I think the problem is that even if the downforce numbers are right, It does not correlate with real life because in the corners, the car is slow and in the straights it's way too fast. So adding a lot of downforce to add cornering speed and drag would be the right thing to do. Other than that I find it impressive how you can make a car look like and lmp2 from the model you had at the beginning. Great video 👍

ABS, in real life, will very likely make an average driver's braking distance shorter. it's just nicer to have a consistency in braking and keep steering controls which you do get with ABS.

ah that would be automation the car company tycoon game. You can make vehicles in like 5 minutes, but a good replica can take days if you want to be super detailed, but it's not easy to get that detail

@@fillman86 hey its ok its a massive undertaking to make your own LMP cars let alone make rules that are fair for everyone involved theres a reason why BOP exists and why the first few years of a rule set are usually the roughest
you can get the mod from the repository, take the .car file and put it in your import folder (you'll have to look up the exact instructions as I don't remember). From there it should auto download the mod
