I just took a gamble and purchased the Corsair Voyager A1600. When it was released it was close to $3k but now it was 1300 with the Ryzen 9 6900 and GPU 6800 it is great for the price and you can fully upgrade the RAM and add a second SSD.
It is a sale price but all sale prices are bogus. Nobody pays the non sale price! List prices are always a lie unless manufacturers have you screwed! $750 is not really a budget price but this is no budget gamer.
@@lazarantonios8815dam. I don’t really like the laptop cause I can’t get 120 fps on my favorite games in Roblox but starting to think that 679$ dollars brand new for that laptop was a steal.
Got a msi 4060 laptop for my Gf on black friday for 800$ on new egg, runs really smooth, love seeing some of the laptops go on sale and become great values.
The battery life is excellent on this laptop, AMD did a great job with smart access and I definitely recommend this for anyone who also needs a laptop for work or school.
I was legit looking at this last night. It's $750 now, however, Lenovo's LOQ 15.6" with a Ryzen 7 7840HS and RTX 4050 beats it at $699. Ended up getting that one instead. (My Christmas gift to myself). **Update** My job offers discounts on purchases directly through Lenovo. I checked their website and saw the same laptop for $670, then received an additional $20 off my order bringing my total to $650, which I think is a steal. Even without my company's discount it will still come out to around $670 directly from Lenovo.
I bought my A16 for 750, and I love it! I am able to play forza horizon 5 with 110fps on ultra settings, ray tracing on high and tdp of 110 watts with 75 degrees at the cpu. Even more crazy is the fact that you can buy the 7700s variant for 750 on sale on best buy.
gaming laptops can hold up to 80ºC while gaming and they'll be ok. Heck, I had an intel gaming laptop from 2017 that got up top 90ºC and it never throttled.
In the laptop space it is. Going lower will probably get you an rtx 2050 or 3050 which might not last long for newer games with only 4-6gb vram when 8gb is already pushing it
That's actually not too bad, especially since it has dual channel DDR5 RAM. I paid $300 for a desktop PC that has an i7 8700k, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler, and a Kediers C570 open air case with 7 RGB fans.
I got the 7700S version from Best Buy for 679. The 7735HS is an interesting chip, because at a fairly modest price, it sort of gives you two very different laptops. On integrated, you get a 680M, which with this chip at [iirc] 35W runs at about the level of the more powerful handheld PCs out there (in Heaven it scored about 50% higher than my Steam Deck does at 15W), or put another way, gives a GPU fairly close to that of Apple's base model M2. This A16 gives something like 12 hours of battery life doing surfing or Netflix watching, and several hours of gaming. Flip on the dedicated graphics (Armor Crate gives good control of this), and now you have a more conventional gaming PC. High heat, low battery life, but high performance. By including an actually-capable IGP the machine gets an unusual amount of flexibility in terms of hardware to throw at gaming.
@@logangriffin420 overall very good performance and astounding battery life. The 7735HS performs similarly to my old 5800X which is really quite good for a midrange mobile chip (and runs circles around the 10500H or 1135G7 in my other mobile devices). The 7700S runs like a mobile 4060 with a tad less efficiency and lower ray tracing. Overall easily suited to 1440p gaming or high framerate 1080p. I think it scored... 40% of my desktop 3080ti in 3Dmark? Happy to verify. Overall, I'm really impressed. Its IGP is even more interesting IF you set it up right. Turning off the AMD smart switching to let Armor Crate handle things, turning Armor Crate to Eco to disable the dedicated card, and then setting the power (bottom left of menu) to manual and turning down CPU TDP and total platform power to minimim, which still lets the integrated 680M stretch its legs, I got Helldivers 2 running 1080p low/medium with balanced resolution scaling at a solid 30-40fps and around 2.5 hours of battery life (if you don't knock down the TDP in AC first it'll die in like 30 minutes). EDF 6 was 3+ hours. Browsing, movie watching, doing office stuff, expect 8-15 hours of battery depending on screen brightness, sound setup, battery saving settings and workload. Overall I love it!
Literally bought this exact laptop a few weeks ago for this price, and I'm loving it. I've not watched all of the review yet, but my experience has been great. I've added another 2TB Gen 4 Drive and going to upgrade RAM because it is affordable. The laptop can put off some heat, but I was expecting that, and I can live with it myself.
Yeah laptop prices in Australia are crazy. I was looking at getting something just to run some media on, TH-cam, twitch and even budget sub i5 models are expensive. I've got a gaming desktop just wanted something portable. Now I'm looking at tablets because alot of the budget laptops cost far more than the tablet, and the laptops have problems like sub 1080p screen which for media is a deal breaker.
