I've been winging and now riding the foildrive with the glide 925 it's lift makes it break the surface tension so easily. I was going to order the 1125 for flat water pump but opted for the 1325 as I'm closer to 80kg.

Just got a message from Fred yesterday that he dock started the 1325 and pumped around. Sounds like there will be a lot of low end and glide. The 1125 paired with the Turbo Tail was already kind of too big for me for winging, even in light winds. I think both paired are similar to a 70 cm fuselage, making up for a very stable ride. I now have a few more sessions and a few on the 725: Much more my taste 😆😆. Super fun in waves! Turns super nice, still good lift and glide. Getting on foil was fairly easy, too. So far I think the 725 is my favorite .....

@hoppline I've only been riding the ptm999( glide 1125 for maybe 2 months with my Phantasm foildrive setup. I came down from the G1000. The 999 is nice but I've been feeling it's span in turns and occasionally it just doesn't pump down into the wave when trying to keep up. The 925 so far is feeling very promising for FD. I also have the 725 for bigger days and kite foil. Plus the 1325 for flat water pumping. I'm closer to 80kg.

really sick gear again ! i really like duotone board didnt used enough duotone foil but they seem cool too. what i like with slingshot is the r&d they are really inovating everytime. The fact you can be quick up and runing and back to your car as quick during winter is really an important factor to consider. Pov was good but sometime i had the feeling you didnt use the whole fov and felt like the wing in front was zoomed on. Good video

Hahah....nothing stays hidden. You are right on the POV !! I used a GoPro with Max Lens Mod but somehow it was not set to Max Lens which led to black corners on all sides. Had to crop in a little, leaving me with just a little more space than using the regular lens. Quality suffered too but I still thought there would be some nice details worth sharing. On the Duotone front, the Skybrid is very nice. The concept seems to work and if you are not into heavy freestyle it might be a good option. Tail release is nice and it picks up speed so quick. I compared it to the Slingshot Flow Craft 55 liter and I think it's up a little faster. I waves and for the occasional jump I would still prefer the Flow Craft, but for the style of riding I am doing here on the river its a perfect choice.

Such a shame that foil system isn’t available now, it looks so good and I’m desperate for new foil but don’t think I can wait till next year !

Wow Niko!

    !! Nice one!!
That pump looked nice too with the 90 Degree bend to save the flexible tube from breaking over time. (Not that you keep anything that long :D)
What's the mast thickeness vs sabfoil Puima?
Maybe a smaller non speed tail would help it make it more livelly?

🤣🤣... yeap, usually I get rind of things before they break (-: !! I think the thickness of the PIUMA mast is in the range from 12 to 16 mm from bottom to top. Love it for small wings, shame it's discontinued. I talked to Slingshot the other day and they will make more tails in the future. Smaller and shorter 🙃

Great video! as always ;) :)
Since my 6.0 blew up yesterday... -.- I need a new light wind wing. What is the gruntiest wing you rode? Is it the Slingwing V5?
    Looking forward to more reviews!

Thanks 🙏 ! The SlingWing V5 has lots of grunt but also some weight and depth in the center strut. If you are a small and light rider going bigger than 4.5 can be tricky. The OZONE Liteforce was nice, too, lighter overall. LOVE the NXT, less grunt but more speed and performance once up and riding.

I got the 5.5 an 3.5 v5 recently, the 5.5 is pretty nice so far but i havent had a lot of time on either wing (my middle wing is 4.6 amrstrong xps) - i specifically held off on getting nxt because i think that the v5 are newer and have more of the next innovations than the nxt.. For you is the nxt already significantly better and do you think that there is much "new" in the v5 vs the nxt? is nxt a huge improvement over v5? - I did some research and you can use 2 of the v4 400m handles if you want to go back to handles.. How are you adjusting to boom? Would you prefer handles? I think the handles on v4 are some of the better handles i have used. Also while i am asking lots of questions, what is you air and water temp there in late november and are there any months you stay out of the water? I will normally stop by december 1 to about march 1 in alaska.. Gloves come off in may and go back on mid to late october.

Hey, let's start in reverse. We are down to roughly 7 degrees water temperature and air temperature is jumping up and down like crazy. We were in the minus the other day and than back to 15 degrees, totally crazy. Just had a very funny session where the cold polar air was floating above the warm air here on the river valley and at some point broke in. Temperatures went down almost 20 degrees in seconds. I went from feeling good to super cold and could see my breath. Only lasted for 15 minutes and then went back to "normal". CRAZY !!! I do prefer the NXT over the V5 mainly for the smaller front strut. Aluula is nice and super ridged, but the smaller profile is what makes me stick to the NXT. Maybe it's because I am light and small, so not much need for super low end grunt. Love the boom and the handles. For traveling I would probably go for the handles because it packs smaller. On the 3.5 m2 handles are so close together that it's almost like a boom. I think the Slingshot mount on the boom and handle is the best on the market, so are the handles and booms themselves. Weight could be lighter, but going plastic over carbon keeps the price tag down. Overall I think Slingshot is doing a very good job at the moment. Love the Flow Craft and just came back from a Foil Drive session on the WF-V5 board. Only 19 liters but water start was super easy.....
