What I hate is Mashiba's flickers are exaggeratedly strong it could knock some no name out with just few punch I mean hearns always follows up with a chopping right
Seeing as we're talking Hajime no Ippo, it's great that they included the names of the masters of the styles in the anime. It was cool seeing them shout out well-known people like Tyson with the peek-a-boo and then lesser known masters like Hitman Hearns with the flicker and the Philly variation he used to fight in.
They exaggerated the amount of flicker jabs thrown in a few seconds but the damage and effectiveness was not exaggerated at all. It really is that scary, not to mention Hearns' facial expression is also intimidating af 😂
Yeah spoilers. I also have something to say which is also big manga spoilers. I can’t believe Takamura can also do flicker jabs so suddenly. He literally learned them in the middle of the match
Crazy how you can hear his jabs slicing through the air. Crazy that arguably the worst out of the four kings is this good. boxing has fallen so far from the 70s-80s
Por mucho tiempo pensé que la idea de un brazo tan largo como en el anime era exageración pero no, se ve asombrosamente largo cuando lanza los golpes, increíble
Sugar ray leornard a classy boxer who could humiliate boxers like roberto duran with the no mass and leornard could do a back flip after winning fights
If Emanuel Stewart had the knowledge he did later as a trainer, hearns would have won this easy. You can see how Emanuel got better with his styles game plan from here to Lennox to the klitsko bros
Infighting doesn't work well with people who are good at clinching, look at holyfield. As well as Mayweather vs Pacquiao...points should be deducted to people who turn tail to save themselves and clinch too much...
Mashiba even has a very similar build to Hearns. Such a deadly technique

Miyata vs mashiba real life
Yeah
I just see takamura talking about hearns's flicker jab
I just wanted to check out the real thing.

holy shit the jabs are actually insane
No doubt!!
He would destroy Spence
And that chopping right looks lethal af
@@kelog5446 It's a hell of a combo. Not surprising it gave so many people a hard time.
Signs of life getting better:
1 - end of corona
2 - new season of hajime no ippo
Wait did they?
Geez, I would wait for another decade just to het season4
Maybe a new ova or movie but i don't think they'll do another season for now
I got goosebumps!! for real!? Don't feed me lies
Yep Yup yep 😁 👍😁
0:44 hitman style looks cool
1:53 the real flicker jab in the anime😂😂
are you talking about hajime no ippo
@@aalookachaloo4122 yes

Acho que foi devido as categorias de peso mais baixas,na luta do takamura e bison a quantidade de jabs foi diminuida em aumentada em poder
That's how you get a badass nickname like Hitman, lol
1:25 mashiba real life
We all learned about Hitman Style on Hajime No Ippo.
Bruh I went and looked up old Mike Tyson vids, his peek a boo to full on Dempsey roll isn't talked about enough...Tommy Hearns is spooky too
I learned with kengan ashura, gaolang got this style
FAX
I actually came here from reading Holyland surprisingly
Me personally i learned it from fighting philly shells
I can see how Morikawa was inspired by this holy fck this is insane
Richard Bison and Ryo Mashiba are flicker jab users in Hajime no Ippo..
SPOILERS😈
Yeah spoilers. I also have something to say which is also big manga spoilers.
I can’t believe Takamura can also do flicker jabs so suddenly. He literally learned them in the middle of the match
Don't forget about Saeki (the guy with long hair that fought ippo before Volg)
@@chupchupman5859 true I forgot about him
Bison died on Takamura's hand
Came here from Episode 9 when Takamura mentioned Thomas hearns, and Mashibas flicker jab. Very intrigued to see.
Crazy how you can hear his jabs slicing through the air. Crazy that arguably the worst out of the four kings is this good. boxing has fallen so far from the 70s-80s
I'm glad I'm not the only one who came here from Hajime no Ippo XD
Hajime no ippo? In real life?

Who are here after watching Hajime no ippo?
Still waiting for a heavyweight with nasty speed and reach to do this...
ali kinda did it
@@hessjsus383 Kinda?
I just realized what this comment was talking about
Only Ali Can do this
Tyson Fury has the height and reach but its just not his style
Everybody talking about ippo but nobody about steve fox
Flicker stance into 3 jabs then a straight right. I totally forgot he did that haha
Maan steve fox look like a "hworang arm style"
I can understand why Mashiba uses this technique. You need to have an insane reach to jab your opponent.
It also uses the weight and momentum from his long arms
RZA could've played Hitman in a movie.
i see im not the only one who googled 'flicker jab' after watching hajime no ippo
AWESOME!
Thanks for watching and commenting!! 🙏

Yeah the jab are good.. but an in fighter just a whole alot more terrifying like mike tyson

Mashiba is way better at the flicker. He can throw like 10 jags in a row
Well the weight class difference is also a thing
This is heavy weight. Mashiba is lower division. 125lbs
Oh of course A fictional character does things that we cant do who would have guessed!.
@@lordenvincar i'm really hoping they were joking lol
@@macbrylle091188nope, Hearns was Welterweight/ Middleweight, still heavier than Mashiba who's a Featherweight but he is far from a HW tf?
He just too tall once he in he dont know what to do
Miyata would still beat him up
His jabs have afterimages
