Age of Empires is a history-based real-time strategy video game published by Microsoft and released in 1997. In this cover/remake, I kept the original score written by the Rippy brothers and used sample libraries to give the soundtrack a HD feel. I have also re-arranged some parts to bring my personal touch.

1:54 - 2:03 I expected this part to be more the main verse of the soundtrack, that is, where the song is setting off with power. But I do appreciate this remake alot tho. As I said, I will subscribe and look forward to even more soundtracks of this game :)
Thanks a lot for your input, means a lot ! Yeah I tried to alter the original structure to bring in some fresh elements. I tried different combinations, putting this part at different moments of the song, and this one seemed the most natural to me. Stay tuned for more! :)
While this version isn't quite as polished as the one chosen for the DE, I like the fact that it has proper drums - the DE soundtrack misses a bit of impact imo. The background people sound great, but may be a bit confusing if you aren't in a town XD

Rennie Ash I agree on the DE version... no impact. To be honest I find nothing memorable in that track. Simple as the originals were, they had a clear melody that was catchy even though 99% of your focus was on the game.
The DE version I found was one of the more listenable tracks. It doesn't have the powerful drums, but keeps enough flowing melody despite trying to change things up. It's still not what I'd hoped for though ;p Some of the RoR tracks I had no interest in before, are done well IMO, whereas they seemed to ruin the more well known/liked ones XD
It's hard to surpass what is already amazing, but you have done it! What a glorious track!

Wow, your interpretation is way better than the subdued version of AOE DE. It's way more dynamic and the bombastic themes stay true to the atmosphere of the original.
